Still loving the Civ series and with the conventional Civ wisdom, this one's still a couple of expansion packs short of its ultimate greatness (and the recent patch helped with some of the initial ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ so that's a reassuring start)

Cities now spread across the map - the districts concept is great. It means that cities are more specialised, rather than every city having already built all the available buildings in the later game

A culture tree like the tech tree is also an interesting idea.

The problems mostly relate to a lack of information - the Civilopedia is particularly vague about the new features.

That doesn't get in the way of the just-one-more-turn oops I need to go to work in 3 hours goodness of the Civ series though!
