There are people already over 100 hours on this, because it's that great.

It's not tilt brush, it's more of a real thing builder than a wire frame sketcher.

You can be very organized and make really cool things, and make them with your friends.

It lets you create entire worlds and play around. It's also continually updated by a responsive developer. We're getting more power tools, and it's a lot improved over the first releases.

I recommend this to anybody who's got a vive. Give it a try, make something with your friends!

You've probably never tried anything like this.

Edit:
I've played another 107 hours of this game, it's a fun weird great multiplayer VR experience. I just played with 4 other folks on steam ( it might be a 5 player limit) and everyone liked it! I use it for prototyping and fast 3D sketching because it's by far the messiest fastest colaborative tool out there

GTX 1080 FE (no oc) graphics, 970 (no oc) physx. Runs the game on high. Tiny glitches visible in physx calculations of the fire when I was trying to fill the scene with fire. No lost frames as far as I could tell. Setting the graphics between low and high changes the fire voxel density, but seems to leave the fluid calculations untouched.

Overall a enjoyable time. There are lots of things to play with and break, and the breaking feels fun. I'll be sharing this with friends! It's not only an interesting trip to VR, but also demos some really cool tech.

Things I would change if I could:
- add brightness or glare to the fire so it looks better
- add fire to the pistol as the muzzle flash
- play with the turbulence particle balloons forever

Just one more round I thought! This round will be the one!
Nope. So Then I played it again and again.
You can play it just 2 minutes, but it's hard to quit till you get a good round & workout.

I bring this game out at all my demos. It's a good use of room size, and definitely the direction I want to see VR swordplay headed. It's super good for beginners, but the skill ceiling is high. My top scores so far are 477, 336, and 330. Average is around 180. The current fruit distribution is random, some times are better than others, but if you get in the zone and connect your slices in a big swooping arc, you can get huge combos. They're one of those video game memory making moments.

For a while I was annoyed by the tiny fruit, but I got better at the game, and can slice it like mad.

Also, there are leaderboards (daily + all time) so you don't have to try to beat an insanely lucky person, just the best score of the day.

Also, I hear you can turn off the music with "M" so you can jam with your own tunes and try to slice to the beat. =)

If you like audio shield, you'll like holodance.

It's simmilar, but the pre-selected tracks sync up exactly with the orbs you're tapping & that feels great.

Overall the environments are light, airy and happy & although you don't look around much while you're playing, they're provide a cheerful backdrop.

People are saddened by Trine 3 because of all it could be. The trine series could have evolved into a fantastic sidescrolling RPG puzzler. It did not in fact do that. It got super simple and ignored what people really liked about it.

Trine 3 is best played in 3D on a projector and 7.1 sound - the world springs to life into your room.
People complaining about the confusion in 3D probably didn't play the game the way it was meant to be played.

It's beautiful, although the last level's graphics felt rushed. Although it's 40% of what I expected, It's a fun 3D game, and nobody got motion sick playing it. If you liked Trine 1 and 2, you may like Trine 3 chapter 1. I hope the next two chapters come out with more proper trine elements.

Pros
  • Another Journey into the Trine Universe
  • Rope Tying mechanics
  • Stomping stuff with the knight
  • Fun 3 player couch multiplayer
  • Great Graphics - plays like a 3D film.
  • 1 super hard mini level.
  • A weird Owl
  • Fantastic Soundtrack. Worth the price of the game =)

Cons
  • It's short
  • Super easy puzzles - they felt like training puzzles
  • No skill tree / levelin' up
  • Requires trineangles for unlocking levels, not for skills
  • 2D storybook level wasn't 3D at all, and got this game for the 3D.
  • Incompetant enemies
  • No more 3x mouse support
  • No more cool achievements. Just completion achievments.

I'd love to play this game in VR with motion control, or even just with motion control. It could be magical.

Edit: Ignore the update. I think it removes multiple keyboard players, instead, go to the game in the library, go to properties, go to betas, and choose 1.7.

Most reviews have been voted down to about 60% helpfulness. This is largly because of the game's unique mechanics. People who "get" them downvote negative reviews, and those who "don't get it" downvote the positive reviews.

I've been playing this game with many people starting with the demo around 2004-5, specifically in sumo mode. I have not played the campaign, as I rarely play without friends. I have played 1000s of matches, and learned how to play.

Jumping is hard for some people. If you're a hater, you'll probably hate this game and give up, but if you learn how to jump, you'll admire the jump mechanic. If you play against serious players who've rocked this game 100s of times, you'll have a blast. It's a fun balance of creativity, reflexes and strategy that never gets old.

This is a great party game. Hooked up to a TV with 4 wireless xbox controllers, this game was a staple at a burger night. Everybody played, and even new players had a blast. The quick game resets and no load times make restarts a snap. It's also fun to watch.

If you don't have a TV and wireless controllers, use a projector 4 keyboards, or game controllers - they're $10 on ebay, or mix and match.

It's old, but it's good. This game was created in 2004, so the textures are a bit low res. The controls may seem alien at first, but once you learn, you can use crazy combo wall jump moves and squish the competition.
