This place isn't in the best area, however, I come here whenever I have a craving for Long John Silver's fried fish. I'm soooooo glad I've discovered one of the last LJS on the west coast. Their batter is THE BEST hands down, better than any fish and chips from any other restaurant - ranging from fast food to fancy, "upscale" places - where it costs 3 times as much for fried fish filets that aren't even half as tasty. Every time I've come here, the food is fresh and piping hot. It may take 10 minutes to get your food, but that's because they make it as you order it, not have your food sitting in a warmer for hours. Yeah, it may be on the greasy side, but hey, it's fried - what do you expect? The workers are usually pretty friendly as well.
