For the price, this is an unmissable VR experience. Join the virtual rave with hundreds of other challengers, or start your own with your favorite earworm. Play the top favorite "Lady Gaga - Poker Face" without sweating or smiling like a fool. I dare you.

Interesting subject matter, and a well-executed (if relatively basic) 3D 360 video experience.

Note to creators/Steam: submitting this review was made unnecessarily challenging by the blanket requirement that reviews can only be left after 5 minutes of "usage". Given that this video is less than 5 minutes long, one has to watch it twice in order to review it! Added annoyance: one is only informed of the "5-minute usage" requirement *after* writing the review and attempting to submit it. Boo.

The other reviewers are pretty harsh. This was the first 360 video I was actually able to get working with my newly purchased Vive, and as such, it was a pretty excellent demo! It really helped me get a sense of the potential of the medium, regardless of any other quality aspects of the work. Some of the technical issues I encountered included:

  • Choppy/low framerate sections, likely due to bandwidth limitations.
  • "Blackout" sections of the video were rather ruined by the VR chaperone grid/wall.
  • The orientation of the camera did not match the orientation of myself/headset. That is, while the camera/first-person view was portrayed as laying on one's back, I had to lay on my side and kind of look downward, to see the video. Thus, real life posture and gravity did not remain consistent with the movie, taking me further out of the experience.

Still, great job! Worth watching, if you need to see a decent demo with some interesting execution of creative use of 360 degree camera angles and plot.
