I really love this game series, the first Rome TW was my all-time fav game and when Rome II came out I pre-ordered with months in advance and took a week off-work just to play it.

From a "historically authentic" perspective there are no reasons for which to implement female generals in the Mediterranean world in that period, even if there were a handful of female leaders like Cleopatra or Boadicea but these were incredibly few and far between. Putting unnecessary and unwarranted features like this into the game takes away a huge portion of immersion and brings the game down to a point where I most likely won't touch it in the future.
And regarding community content editor Ella McConnell she must be one of the worst at her job for replying like that to a few people in a thread.

I thought about doing a list of pros and cons of the game, but there are too many out there, so instead of that I'll just say that the most important aspect of H&G is the teamwork, so do yourself a favor and join a clan in order to enjoy the game fully. I did it when I had ~500h of game time and for the next couple of months it felt that I was learning new things about the game on a daily basis. Most clans will allow you to play with them no matter your variety of loadouts because a random player on comms is always preferable to a regular one.

So whenever you feel comfortable with the game, go on the teamspeak server and play there, your Faction needs you!
