Crypt of the Necrodancer FPS

I've been looking for a good roguelike FPS, and this one not only checks all the boxes I need it to, but does it in a way that's hard to master from the get-go, meaning you'll be perfecting your reloading and shooting on beat even as you blaze through enemies at full power on Easy.

I can see the visual style turning people off, but the nordic metal theme is carried through the music very well making the full package much more enjoyable than the screenshots.

If you enjoy rhythm-based gameplay, roguelikes, or especially both, then I cannot recommend this game enough.

Amazing throwback to DOOM/Hexen FPS. Levelling and upgrading guns feels great, and all I want out of this game is 5 expansions.

Highly recommended to any vintage FPS fans.

Would I recommend this game for the gameplay? Maybe.

Would I recommend it for its innovations in mechanics and the changing dialogue depending on past playthroughs? Possibly.

Would I recommend it for the experience? YES.

Undertale is a game that is more than the sum of its parts. Yes, the gameplay is new and fresh. Yes, it does some cool things with small differences in dialogue depending on your past actions even between saves. Yes, the music can be balls-to-the-wall amazing. But the experience, what you take away from the game as a player, is where Undertale shines. What Undertale is is told through everything Undertale does. The whole game sings as a chorus, the music complimenting the gameplay complimenting the graphics complimenting the story.

You will not regret buying this game.

Oh, also, don't read anything about this game before you buy it. This is one of those games where the impact of spoilers is several times more devestating than normal.
