If you ever played the earlier Buduhwhatever series as a kid, do yourself a favor and slap on a nice OLED monitor, turn off the lights, and enjoy this gorgeous mechanically enjoyable valid nostalgia trip.

Content available from 6 years ago still not reworked and re-implemented? What?
Humans shown 10 years ago in trailers not even playable after a decade?

Also PvP lacks complexity; game is janky and runs like ass (100fps 1440p ultra) on a premium PC (7950X3D + 3080 Ti).
70% of all dinos are abusing one OP species. Boring unless stoned.

Yuck.

Ever play Starcraft 2 Terran campaign?
Remember the mission where you are in the middle of the map, and there are infected terran and zerg in all 360 directions, and the goal is to wipe out all enemies surrounding you? (attack during the night)

Well this game is basically that SC2 mission but even more casual/They Are Billions with it's own unique combat system and econ etc.
if you enjoyed that mission, this game is that mission x10.

Devs have an enjoyable British cheeky sense of humor.

Solid seemingly balanced game after 6h. Too casual and easy to spend an entire day on this.

Just gimme Starcraft 3 dammit.

Surpasses Ro2/RS elegantly, while sticking to traditional mechanics with some additional options/tweaks finally available for the elite fps player.

RO2/RS1/2 is unlike every shooter including arma (tho arma supports this option if you hate yourself) and uses deadzones for aiming. This creates a realistic feeling but can feel offputting for very very good fps players. Luckily it's finally toggleable!

The optimization including but not limited to network, fps is wonderful. Tickrate is stable at 60hz with 64 players active. An impressive feat, also the fps is great (80+ w/ a gtx 970, 1080p, High/ultra settings besides shadows/AA)

Running off the UE4 engine, I do not believe RS2 uses Vulkan, or DX12 even. Still on DX11 which can be a shame, or positive to you.

The Ballistics model is top notch, competing with armas ballistic model (full bullet refraction model, in depth penetration, and a seperate viewport for sniping. In laymans terms that means sniping is very powerful, but very difficult since you actually don't share viewports (difficult to put into words, but notice the pictures for snipers, the scopes have their own specific rendering technique you may notice.))

TL;DR Amazing game if you enjoy a hardcore active community, difficult gameplay, realism, communication and wanted more of the same but itterated with RO2/RS (Not a copy pasta, dont worry.)

Warning: There are 5 maps at release. More will be added withing the next couple of months for free and through the workshop.

Over rated game, Arma 2/3 BR mod (by PlayerUnknown) was better.

I'm a good experienced player, from 2012 Arma 2 BR days ( PlayerUnknown's humble beginnings as a modder) and as of christmas eve 2017, this game is still complete ♥♥♥♥.

I've been #6 on na solo leaderboards in 2017 June.
#2 on duo NA test server november 2017.

Game sucks.

My pros and cons with MGSV (still changing frequently.)

Pros:

Extremely well optimized. Even laptops can run this with no issue at maybe medium settings 900p 60fps. Pretty awesome, good job Kojima.

Big world (con.. more later.)

A lot of content (con also, more later.)

A LOT of weapons, though you usually wont use most of them since they all seem to not have silencers in a STEALTH focused game. -Correction you can modify weapons w/ silencers.

Buddy system is pretty awesome, become 'friends' with A horse, dog, or many other options and take them along with you on missions :) <3 D-Dog.

Beginning story line is great, lots of everything but then it turns into a game where story is few and far between missions, some missions having a big douse of story while others are just filler like 'Kill this ugly man' while another is something epic from a hollywood movie. I feel like this is a con.

The game does a good job teaching you everything.

The base system is pretty cool and well designed. Gives a lot of motive or 'hype' and feeling of progression when you unlock that new arm modification or camoflauge. But.. microtransactions. More later.

Cons:

Ai is really weird and sometimes horrible. You can just walk right past them medium range (pistol shooting range) and they dont care but sometimes they act like gods and see you without their heads looking at you. Very buggy. The other %60 of the time they act normal. By far the game's biggest problem.

Open world isn't really open, it's just a bunch of roads with passageways to bases that are the real meat of the game. Fair enough, but don't advertise your game as such a 'vast and living open world' when it's dead outside of bases. Some people like this, fair enough.

The missions are pretty.. repetitive. I would spoil the missions but im %40 done after 20 hours and I fear that all of this content could have been shrunk down into less, more quality content with better back story. 'Go here, bad guy, steal him from his friends, good job' Now do it again 12 more times. Some people like insanity, fair enough.

The vanilla game is VERY easy and you have to turn off ESP markers (when you tag someone, you see them through walls like a cheater. Where is the fun in a STEALTH GAME when you KNOW WHERE EVERY ONE IS. Thankfully there is an option to turn this off for non-casuals.

Also, Reflex mode (time slows down when you get caught) is also more or less cheating... you can't get caught unless your a retarded potato... turn that one off.

The aiming is very weird, I can't put my dong on it but it definitely feels off. I am probably just spoiled from Counter Strike's mechanics.
