We should be on our knees, begging the good graces of Randy Random for not our lives, those are already forfeit, but for a flashy exit to our lives. This game is fun, has a huge learning curve, and your colony won't survive the first few weeks if you go in unprepared and inexperienced. But you'll learn a little more how to make a better colony every time.

A colony of psychopaths is preferable / 10

Pull up a chair next to the campfire and help yourself to a can of beans and whiskey while I make a pot of black coffee bitter as the trail is lonely. Careful though, pard'ner. Keep those hands wheres I can see 'em or you'll be seeing my big iron real quick. YEEHAW I'M A ROOTIN TOOTIN COWBOY OUTLA- Oh wait, a legendary animal is around here, lemme hunt this real qui-WAAAIT A MINUTE, Dutch is saying we need money again.. Better rob this rube that came to my campfire.

I understand why this game is so popular, its SUPER worth the already cheap price, its simple to understand and as complex as you want to make it. the mechanic to create the terrain from emptiness and have that terrain give bonuses to your hero is unique and amazing and I love it.

Lemme just run a victory lap real quick / 10

I love this game. I'm terribly at RTS, but I still like them. But this is about as 'Grand' a scale as an RTS can get. I made a galaxy have over 1000 stars, and each star has something useful on them. Planets that the species you make can inhabit, resources, scientific hotspots, space anomalies.. There really is an unfolding story in every generated and LOTS of paths you can take. My favorite so far has to advance in robotics and cybernetics to the point my entire race sheds their organic bodies to become immortal synthetic organisms that can inhabit any terrain.

ONE little space-genocide and suddenly everyone freaks out / 10

As a fan of roguelites, I can't remember the last time there was a first person shooter take it on. I like the art style and the combat is really fun, but some weapons and buff scrolls are clearly better than others and even if you're very advanced you can still have a bad run to just unlucky RNG. But, welcome to roguelites I suppose in that regard.

Word to the wise, invest in beekeeping and buy the baked goods recipe as soon as possible, the game has an 'energy bar' that you drain by doing anything other than moving and it depletes FAST. You really have to plan out your days well, because every day of the week has a specific NPC to interact with for story\progression reasons and if you miss your chance at them you have to play through another week before they show up again. Fun game, I like how many things there are to do and graveyard keeping is only a small part of it!

Like Stardew but with more dead things/10

I'm weird and like the mix of This war of mine and Fallout shelter, its a big time sink to get started as of right now but its kind of a grind. Hesitant reccomend only if you really liked TWOM

Game is STILL a excessively buggy, super clunky mess. I tried to get into it, but the VERY obvious delay in attack to damage registering, and the game going cross eyed whenever alt tabbing.
