TLDR at the bottom if you dont wanna see how saddened I am.

I was so excited for this game years ago. I am a HUGE fan and lover of magic. I like when magic isnt just spamming spells and have no reason to switch. Spell combos are so much better as a mechanic it actually feels like youre PLAYING THE GAME.
I liked the movement alot in this game. I liked the magic powers. I wish the combat was a little better. There are many good ideas in this game that just didnt finalize well. The dialogue is really not good. It killed alot of the aspects of the game. This game had little details it did right, and didnt follow through in the full picture.

The environment is really barren, and you are running through very empty lands with nothing really too interesting to explore. I get that the entire world is supposed to be devastated by the "break" but its just insanely barren and theres a whole lot of nothing. If they had more stuff in the world it would make such a huge difference for replaying. This map is pretty big so thats why its even more disappointing.
Some controls for pc are really bad, and you cant change them the way youd like. Such as the spell switch bindings for the lighting dash when you switch from one element to another. Very awkward buttons.

Some characters were REALLY annoying, and I genuinely couldn't care about them. I just wanted to get the dialogue over already with one particular character and he is so pointless. I actually cared way more about the missions where you take pictures of things for the kids and show them back in Cipal. Also the missions at the end of the game where you follow the cats.

The boss fights were ok, I actually didn't mind them too much, but it just wasn't as great as I know they could have made it. I think the designs of the Tantas were actually interesting. I wish they had more elements as well. They REALLY had a lot of creative ideas in this it just makes me sad to see them not fully use what they had.

Like I said previously the land is so barren and you can just run forever and not see anything really interesting. I wish that modders really picked up this game and added stuff that would be refreshing. Unfortunately they haven't, and wont. The mods for this game are so basic, and are just tiny cosmetic things. (personally I don't care for them) I really do like big maps that you can explore and see how much attention to detail the devs put into the game. I like seeing things like that since I'm unnecessarily so observant.

TLDR; Good aspects in this game are minuscule and get drowned out by the lack of content in such a big map. They had a great concept with magic and story but executed it poorly with the voice acting, lack of placement of things in the world, and characters that are not interesting at all. (other than the cats) However, I will still 100% this game just because I did buy it and its all I have for a magic system thats actually interactive.

DON'T EVER PLAY THIS GAME WITHOUT MODS!

Skyrim VR is by far my FAVOURITE VR game. (im still playing half life Alyx I do love the game and I played it before Skyrim, but Skyrim's freedom is incredible in VR) I love magic! I have exactly 84 mods loaded to enhance the game to my liking. ( Going for an only mage build here. I love magic. Using mods like spell siphon, and arcane with some magic balance mods. In addition to upping the graphics with some added shaders, and npc models. To make the game look like it came out within the last 4 years. Most importantly HIGGS. You will thank me later if you install it.) Did I mention I love magic??

These all instantly turned a vr game that lacked much immersion, to a game that has fully immersed me and keeps me for hours. Suddenly I can touch everything in the game (which isnt cool at all in unmodded since you need to press (a) on your controller to interact all the time) the textures were beautiful! The people looked fantastic and magical, I was throwing magic left, right and center. I was petting cats, ( yes I added cat mods) touching and bumping into people, accidentally getting caught trying to drink someones blood (great clip), fighting dragons, you know the typical skyrim stuff.
Even better is that im very new to skyrim. So after playing a little bit on pc, a couple months later my friend gifted it to me for vr for my birthday. (shoutouts to Arthur, big homie) My mind has been simply blown ever since.

I strongly suggest when you are looking to buy this, learn how to use mods, and a mod manager! Which is very important. Nexusmods.com is amazing, trust me they make it easy to do. You will thank me later! I have an entire 84 mods in a list ( I would hope that you dont need as much as me I do have a very good computer)
I hope that you can enjoy it as much as I do when you craft your experience! :)

Early Access Review
As someone who loves fps games, and mainly plays Battlefield I absolutely love this game. This is like the Battlefield 5 that I wanted. I love the smaller game modes, and the system in place for Team Death match. In fact I enjoy this game to the point that I have begun streaming it often. I think this game has ALOT of potential. I wish this game had better performance, but I understand that will be fixed soon. I also wish that more people gave this game a chance. Can't wait to see how this game improves over time.

I really enjoyed this game. The jumpscares to be honest werent really scary to me and, the monster was actually fuunny to me with the "Hey" it would give out in a really deep voice. XD The game kept me in suspence all the way and it really kept me guessing what would happen next, especially when all of the lights go out. :)
