Intriguing story, fun combat mechanics, captivating characters, enthralling environment. I find it hard to stop playing because I want to know what happens next, continue exploring, and fulfill my duties to the best of my ability. 10/10

Do you know how dead a game has to be for the company to already be rolling all its Western US servers into one server after six months? Yeah. The company isn't interested in the players - only their money. They are ignoring NUMEROUS fixes the game needs for player enjoyment to consolidate and save money on upkeep. They've achieved the doom in six months that took Blizzard twelve years to accomplish. Is there a Steam achievement for that?

This is such a beautiful and unusual game. I would play a million more like it. The visuals are stunning, the character models absolutely gorgeous, but the struggle with mental illness and a traumatic past merge -flawlessly- with the epic story of a woman trying to retrieve her last hope for joy and redemption. Be careful if you are currently struggling with severe mental illness (especially if you plan to play in VR), as the game warns at the beginning. Psychologists and sufferers worked with the devs to recreate (really well) the state of psychosis. This does, however, make victories all the more satisfying.

For those reading reviews, keep in mind that I am posting this only about 36 hours after the game became available for early purchase and play with the founder's pack(s). So all prior reviews, and many of those that will soon follow, will reflect very little actual game play. There have, as is common with any release, been bumps in the road, but the devs have been very attentive and have performed maintenance several times to address issues. If there is blame to place, I would say it was short-sighted not to allow purchase at least two weeks prior to release in order to guage the population and allot server space accordingly.

That being said, I have played Bless before in a fully stable environment and have been giddy about the release in the west. It is a beautiful game with a wide array of races and classes to choose from, with more classes slotted for release in the future. The taming and breeding system relies heavily on lifeskills, so those looking to focus on lifeskill play should be happy, and action combat mode (which has not yet been enabled for western servers, but will be) is very engaging. The combat system as it relates to chaining skills is unique and requires strategy - lots of fun to me.

No game is for everyone, but if you're thinking of trying Bless Online and are still unsure, I recommend waiting for the launch tension to die down so that you can read some reviews of actual gameplay by those who stick around for the fun!
