An amazing and beautiful singleplayer story with stunning graphics, great writing, and fun gameplay that is plagued by its ugly sister known as GTA Online. A virtual world in which you engage in hours of grinding to be able to afford the luxury weapons, vehicles, and properties that are relentlessly advertised to you through a ridiculous amount of phone calls, text messages, emails, and ads on the loading screen that you'll likely spend hours of your life staring at due to long loading times. Those hours of grinding will be required due to the insane amount of inflation in the GTA economy that has occured since the game has launched. Your online experience will also be plagued with high amounts of toxic players, some who engage in cheating behaviors that threaten the reputation of all other players in the lobby.

After nearly 100 hours of grinding in the competitive and repetitive online mode, I was banned for 30 days and had my account reset despite having never cheated, modded, nor received money or other incentives from players who were cheating. If you are like me and find yourself in this situation then good luck. As R* does not allow your ban to be appealed and has a terrible customer support network that will provide you with no information as to why exactly your account was banned in the first place. This horrific online experience has convinced me to never touch GTA Online again and I will likely never purchase Red Dead Redemption 2. And you know I'm definitely going to mod the singleplayer now.

Overall, an amazing singleplayer experience that is ruined by a disgusting and unfair online system that is plagued with cheaters and microtransactions.

Fun game, Freeroam is a lot of fun. Not a fan of having to own a UPlay account, but other than that 9/10.
