could be worse, could be better. buy it on sale, don't play with high fov if you're picky about first person animations, and put the dialogue in any language other than your native tongue so you don't have to understand the, unfortunately, excessive attempts at humour

I hate every character I've met so far, and there's nothing interesting about the combat, dialogue, or gameplay so far. so I'm gonna put this down

...one of the few games, ever, to make me cry. except it didn't just make me cry, it made me sob.. it made me think.. and it made me vulnerable. thank you, developers, for making a game that makes me feel.. a game about time, about the mind, and about growth.. a game worth playing. this is easily going on my top 5 list. <3

likening this system to Sims 4 would be an insult to Sims 4... because you can at least enjoy that game to its fullest with the dlc. Stellaris is one of the most third-rate, mediocre, money-wheeling, relatively average games I have ever played, and the constant spew of overpriced and underwhelming dlc has done nothing but make me want to never touch it again. I never played it much, because it was difficult to enjoy, but... even if I did enjoy it, I wouldn't play it now. the fact that the publishers have recognized the frankly obscene pricing of the dlc, and have turned stellaris into a subscription model game in response, says more than even I could, and it's practically my job to spew ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
if you're gonna play the game, get it on sale.
if you're gonna get the dlc... get another game instead.

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..
this game clearly has MASSIVE POTENTIAL, and I look forward to returning to it upon its full release, but, currently, the UI is horrendous, many of the sounds are obnoxious, the gameplay isn't intuitive to learn or understand, and nothing is explained or taught well in the slightest. also, the lack of optimization is a massive turn-off

This game is truly a form of torture... I love it.
