I only recommend this game if you uses Special K to fix it. It does not work on my computer otherwise and i have a fairly recent machine.

combat is fluid. Action RPGs are typically not my bag, but i mad an exception for Automata and Replicant..

The beginning is a lot of fun. I can see how it is going to be a slog the more you play though. Battleships seem to only be able to be taken down by torpedos. I think it would be more fun with friends, i didn't get a chance to play with them tough.

Did i enjoy myself? yes
Was it perfect? no

The graphics are fine. Did i wish the character's mouths actually moved when they talked? yes. Was it a deal breaker? no

The music was ok. The only real problem i had was they somehow messed up remaking the Dark Lich's music, it was the only time i turned the music back to the original.

Gameplay seemed crisper for the most part. Every once in a while, enemies would become invincible for no reason but i was able to run away from them without issue. I feel like they improved the enemy hitboxes and getting stunlocked never happened once so overal, an improvement i feel.

The game didn't crash for me until almost the end of the game when i was grinding out the last couple of achievements for getting all the equipment. It resumed in about 1 min of down time because the game autosaves whenever you change screens.

The biggest issue i had with the game is there were key cut scenes removed from the game. Knowing the game so well, i very much noticed their absence.

I feel like this should have been $20. I would recommend it on sale. $40 seems like a lot for a SNES remake with no extras from the original.
