I've played a lot of survival crafting games. What can i say... On the highest graphics settings The Forest looks so ugly, that you might have suicidal thoughts, despite yours in-game Sanity level is still at max. Sound design is dumb, and AI is straight from the 8-bit era: enemies move primarily in one direction. There are a lot of unnecessary crafting and building which barely gives any advantage in the game...

Well, written above is some sort of being true, unless you you made it to the first cave in the game. After that you life would change forever. You will be haunted by the nightmares of unspeakable horrors of the Forest and by nightmares of you playing it. After that your main goal in life would be to finish this f*****g game as quickly as possible, to escape that madness. But no, even after watching all possible endings it will not be completely over. From time to time you will have those visions, flashbacks...

Conclusion is - while it has all those trashiness of indie game it's scary as hell, and it's overwhelmingly fun to play. I advise you play in coop. I've completed it with different people three times. At some point i felt like member of satanic cult pulling new innocent people into it. It's the best survival crafting game after ARK. That's it.
