Changing my review from positive to negative after the paltry offering of currency we're given. Clearly we're not given the same treatment as CN/HK/Taiwan, and that's a damn shame.

If there's one thing Obsidian Entertainment is known for, it's for fantastic writing. That was true with Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II in 2004, true with Fallout: New Vegas in 2010, and still true all the way in 2022 with the release of the incredible game that is Pentiment. In 2025, we have Avowed.

Fear not, for Obsidian's quality of writing is still there with Avowed. It is, in essence, Obsidian doing what they do best: Adventures with gripping narratives and fleshed-out characters. Avowed is an epic fantasy in the truest sense, giving us one of the best RPGs this decade.

In this ambitious role-playing experience, players can expect to travel across the continent of The Living Lands. A terrible fate awaits those who live in The Living Lands, with an enigmatic malady called the "Dreamscourge" affecting not only its people, but the continent's wildlife and terrain as well. All of these elements are a recipe for a grand adventure.

Avowed impressed me in many ways. The way it handled gear and enemy scaling, its rewarding exploration, and unparalleled storytelling and world-building are most certainly the highlights, but its combat is also immensely fun. What more can you ask from an RPG? Obsidian Entertainment is one of the best in the business, and that's proven with Avowed.

Hooooly ♥♥♥♥ this game goes hard. It has that addicting "one more run" type of deal with plenty of unlockables and a sick style. Looking forward to playing more.

One of my favorite manga of all time is Blame!, a somewhat niche title by the masterful Tsutomu Nihei. The way Nihei crafts his worlds, letting visuals speak more than the very characters in his works, it's something unique to the medium of manga. Most of all, however, it's how he is able to portray scale in Blame! and his various other works that amaze me.

Lorn's Lure wears its inspirations on its sleeve, and chiefly among them is Blame!. It's a mysterious first-person platformer that prefers to show rather than tell, and also perfectly captures the unfathomably large scale of megastructures. Lorn's Lure might have niche appeal, but like Blame!, those who consume its content will absolutely love it.

As it stands, Selaco is one of the most original and innovative retro-inspired shooters to hit the market in quite some time, with a cornucopia of highly polished mechanics and fresh ideas. It even has a full episode available to play on Early Access now, and that already feels like a full product in and of itself. Selaco is setting the bar for shooters ludicrously high.

This game freakin' WHIPS. A solid-ass SHUMP that you can get the hang of pretty easily. Give it a go and you won't regret it. Plus that soundtrack is *chef's kiss*
