A hack-and-slash ARPG with insane bullet hell-type fights with hordes of demons and undead creatures to have your way with. There is a multitude of weapons, melee and ranged, to be found and used, all customizable in the form of prefix and suffix-type enchantments through the Transmutation feature. Adding to this is your card deck which you fill with Destiny cards (like tarot cards) that drop from enemies and chests, each of which grant a perk. Then you have Demon powers which are special abilities that can be summoned off a charge meter. Putting all of these together, the character customization possibilities are pretty much endless. There are no classes in Victor Vran. Your loadout is your class. And oh yes before I forget, YOU CAN JUMP AND DODGE!

The game is graphically beautiful and the environments well designed. It runs smoothly on Ultra settings at 60fps on my rig, an i5-4690k and Radeon R9 280 with shadows disabled (shadows on creates fps lag, idk why). Controls are intuitive and get easier the more you play.

Story-wise (which is forgettable; you're basically there to clean up someone else's mess), the game takes about 2-3 hours to complete if you're not a completionist and don't care for dungeon challenges and secrets. If you do, it'll bump that up to maybe 10 - 15 hours. You do not have to beat all the dungeons to finish the game.

Overall, this is a good game and my time spent playing it has been enjoyable. 8.5/10.

The year is 1962, you're armed with only an M14 and M1911, while your squadmates have a Dr Manhattan-esque self-cloaking device and can chuck out autodeploying laser turrets. You get to control these squadmates.

Not usually a fan of stealth games, but this one is an exception that got me so hooked I almost couldn't stop playing. Stunning graphics and environments, combined with tense, action-filled gameplay weaved into an immensely satisfying 40 hour-plus experience. Oh, and did I mention a bunch of awesome futuristic weapons are at your disposal? All modifiable with cool upgrades. The RPG element is fantastic and freely allows you to craft your character to suit your style of play. I don't know why I overlooked this game when it first released but I'm glad I finally got it. At $7.50, it was a total steal. Thank you Steam, and thank you Eidos for one of the best gaming experience I've ever had. Only complaint is that since the graphics are highly intensive, the game lagged for me at certain points, and sometimes the mouse controls were unresponsive. 9.5/10. Crazy good.
