Helldivers 2 has a great community, devs that communicate with their community, amazing gun-play, and an equally amazing game-play loop. Thank you Arrowhead for negotiating with Sony and lifting the requirement of syncing a psn account to play.

cant get passed the initial operator selection screen. crashes when loading screen appears for prologue

Pretty sure I have committed felonies that would put me in prison for life.
At least 7 families are ditches and many pileups due to one driver.

I give Sons of the Forest a 6/10 in its current state.
If you liked the first one you will also enjoy this one. There is technically less to do in this one but it seems like the AI has been improved and the story is "complete" from the get go unlike The Forest when it was in early access. I use quotes for complete because it feels like there is a lot of lore missing and a few of the scripted cut scenes feel like they throw a lot of plot at you with no real explanation. Even if you find all the pieces of paper that have some back story it doesn't explain much. The story also seems to move really fast after you find a specific tool to use.

Talking about tools, the log cart is missing which would have taken away some of the tedium of collecting logs for your builds. Instead we get Kelvin, he might be deaf and mute but the dude is a real one. Some might argue that he takes away from the game but honestly I cannot be bothered gathering X amount of sticks or X amount of stone. So thanks Endnight for the inclusion of Kelvin. A couple complaints about Kelvin is that he only carries one log at a time and he also likes to cut down the trees that you've made plans for.

I only encountered one bug throughout my play through and I'm not sure if it was hot-fixed. When you spawn in and if you haven't completed all the "tutorial" steps and you try to pick up a stick by holding the key, it places it in your hand and causes you to be unable to open your inventory, map, or light. Resetting the game will fix this issue. That is at spawn though and you will then have to go through the intro sequence again, and if you're playing online as host this will cause you to start the world over.

If Endnight updates this title like they did with the original I believe the story will be more fleshed out and there will be overall more content than the first game, but in its current state the content seems to be lack luster. Still fun nonetheless especially with a couple friends.

6/10, Kelvin is a real one.
