Never before have I experienced anything quite like it.
It takes you away and makes you feel completley submerged.

This game is very personal.
Beware that it might hit you in the feels.

I feel emotionally drained.

If youre looking for a horror game like Amnesia, look elsewhere. This is not the answer to that. Soma is something more, a psychological and existential journey.

What does it really mean to be human?

I did not know what to expect when I first started playing this, other than that it contained puzzles, and I like puzzles. Now that I have completed the base game and am playing the dlc (which btw is much more difficult and requires alot more thought), I can hands down say that this is my favorite game of all time. Its that one gem that you didnt think would exsist.

The game would be quite the experience with the puzzle solving aspect alone (it is intellectually challenging and the puzzles are very well designed and varies in difficulties from very easy to very hard) but what really makes this game amazing is the philosophical exploration that takes the player on a journey of existentialism, religion, morality and consciousness.

The story (which might not seem as much at first) will have you confused and lost but it will all start to make more sense as you play along. The visuals, soundtrack and voice acting all come together to make this game a breathtaking experience.

If you for some reason have not played portal yet, go play that first. Because if you play Talos Principle before portal, portal will be a disappointment.

Something else worth noting is that the computer terminal took notice of my sociopathic behaviors just a few hours into the game. This computer terminal is much more efficient than my psychiatrist. She has yet to figure this out.

Oh and please remember that FROGS ARE PEOPLE TOO :)
