Coming from someone that has over 3K hours in RL and has played Rematch beta (also looking forward to it). Don't go into this expecting Rematch or Rocket League. This game is great in its own rights. FHL does what it advertises to do, a football game with heroes. If you expected something like Rematch then what are you doing here? Are you also playing Hello Kitty and expecting Call of Duty gameplay??

I'll list some stuff I've liked a lot.

• - Controls with keyboard and mouse feels very good. The learning curve is a bit hard in the beginning, but as soon as you get a good grasp of the game's mechanics, you'll find out how much more you can do.
  
• - Heroes with classes. You can play controllers, strikers or defensive heroes. They feel unique enough and not too overpowered.
  
• - JUMPING. If you love Galatik Football, Mario Strikers, and the likes, you'd absolutely love this. It takes a bit of practice to there but it's very satisfying.

Having said that: the negative reviews are absolutely unjustified. Is the game free of issues? No. But please LOOK AT THE TAG. it's EARLY ACCESS for a reason. There's complaints about server issues, personally I've only had that 2 out of 10 games. Also the Rematch clone argument falls apart, this isn't TRYING TO BE REMATCH and it's been in known development before Rematch was announced afaik. The developers seem very responsive to feedback and I'm sure they're taking everything into account to polish the gameplay even further.

Very unfortunate timing with Rematch being made by a bigger studio and releasing a month away, when this game has been in development for years as well. It's easy for people to download this f2p game and leave a bad review after 5 minutes of playing.

Fun and oddly enough, addicting. You can't stop playing until you win at least one!

If you are going to buy it, then definitely buy the DLC's with it.
Other than that, it's a must-have for zombie game lovers and I'd recommend playing it with at least 1 friend.
