The soundtrack goes unreasonably hard

The new update makes this a contender for best soulslike now

Basically feels like an offline version of leetcode. Dev is very helpful and implemented a vim motions mode. would definitely recommend for anyone needing to brush up on data structures and the like.

the bosses that arent story bosses are just normal enemies with extra health. a lot of early fights are just one large enemy and a ton of smaller ones, or 2 large enemies. ive played 40 hours on my latest character giving the game a second chance and ive fought about 3 unique bosses. margit and margott are clones so they dont count as unique. dark souls 3 was so much better.

this is a contender for my #1 fav rhythm game. I still think its hard to beat crypt, but rift goes more arcade than crypt or cadence. Its also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard. i'll have to practice a lot.

extremely barebones port but very serviceable. no noticeable problems. MnK support is good enough.

that being said: shadows of the damned is one of my all time fav RE4-likes. if you liked RE4/dead space youll love this.
