Kalonline was a good game back in 2004. But I highly recommend everyone to try something else in 2016.

I guess the most interesting part in this game was and is the castle siege.
~ [8/10 for this kind of PVP]

If you still want to give it a try, than dont bother to instantly waste your money on ingame cash items. You should try to follow the "questlines" even tho it's hard to find the correct/current quests everytime. Don't randomly skill or stat anything for your class, try to check trustworthy forums and Kalonline related pages to find a decent guide for the class that you want to play. Unfortunately Inixsoft isn't a big help with providing "guides" and stuff like this, but they're willing to help you by selling ingame cash items to fix your "stat/skillpoint"-related mistakes.

Hardly anything has changed. Of course there are few more missions / new armors and fancy shop Items, but overall this game feels like a messed up private server. Also I dont think that Inixsoft has really fixed their database and the game security itself, so it might be just a matter of time before there are the "first" problems with hackers on the "new" steam version of Kalonline.
~ [4-5/10 for the game itself]

Just my 2 cents,
from a former Kalonline player who was actively playing a Lv82 God of Bow (also played all classes on Lv75+ characters) / reached the top5 in Honorrank on Hanin and won the first and only "Kalonline World Championship" with the Côte d'Ivoire team.

Time to "extend" my first review with part2.

After playing Kalonline for yet another month and "some" hours, I've to say: "nothing has changed" besides the lvlspeed in some areas. The game is a 100% pay2win game cause "time is everything" and without spending any KC, you will end up spending hundreds of hours grinding for nothing or if you're lucky you will have "something" in the end. But this wont be much.

I wouldnt recommend this game to anyone who wants to start a "fresh and new MMO".

The game itself could be so much better if the GMs / Inixsoft would actually care about their game. But even the steam Kalonline is yet another "cashcow" with almost no support from Inixsoft.

At least 1/3 of all "active" users on in this server are AFK. They stand around in the cities having shops open. Or they are logged in for the fishing / mining system. I'd say 95% of the current steam server population are people from Hanin or Naraeha. There are no real "beginners" and the starter areas are already crowded and filled with UG bots. Tho this has been an issue for the last month, nothing has changed. There are no active ingame GMs. The servers arent stable. If you're using any OS but Windows XP/Vista u will get random engine.exes and UI bugs.

First 3 or 4 weeks of the game the announced "1000 vs 1000 castle siege" didnt take place on steam server cause of random problems. And for now, there's no playerbase of at least 1000 "active" chars that arent shops / bot accounts only.

Therefore i wouldnt call the steam Kalonline a MMO.

Some of the old systems were disabled for no reason (student teacher relation etc.) and some NPCs are still bugged after 1month+ after the release.
UG / Speedhackers looting almost all the "Wooden box" spawns.

The PvP is not balanced at all, like it was back in 2009 or 2008 before the Thief was released. Also people cant continue with their 3rd job changes, since it's not possible to kill for example the Emok boss, with the current gear.

The total feedback of all reviews should be "mostly negative" and not mixed. Since 70% of all "positive" reviews are written by random steam accounts with no steamlvl and private profiles.

All in all the game is still lacking a good support, but it has a mysterious "factor of addiction".

I almost forgot about the "random" blockwave. Inixsoft managed to block a couple accounts but at least half of the blocks were "made by a mistake" according to the C/S replies. It's funny that they actually "do care" by blocking suspicious accounts. But they cant sent any "active" GMs into the game to observe the Bots that are placed all over the world of Kalonline.

My last comment for today regards the "event times". All events are based and held on Korean Standard Time, tho the majority of all players come from Europe and America (Poland/Germany/CZ/SVK/FIN etc.) some from the Middle East/and the SEA states. It's almost impossible to participate in the events, unless you want to wake up in the middle of the night (talking with an EU perspective).

Just my 2 cents,
yet again.

"Your ID is blocked. Please contact the C/S Center in the official homepage. Thanks for enjoying Kal Online."

Seems like some GMs didnt like my reviews after all.

Enter the Kal Online home page > Enter all digits and stuff for the 1on1 C/S > Error occured.

GG WP))

Just my 2 cents,
maybe the final chapter.
