Having grown up playing a mix of retro and current (at the time) games, Quake felt right at home to me when I played it for the first time a few days ago. And I gotta say, this is probably my favorite id software shooter to date. The difficulty hits that perfect sweet spot of being fairly challenging while not being completely dickish (except for the spawns, seriously ♥♥♥♥ those guys). The weapon variety and enemy lineup is nice and diverse, and the level design works pretty well in tandem with them. My only real complaint is the lack of music on the base version you get on Steam, which can be remedied by jumping through a few hoops or just using a source port, like Mark V or Quakespasm. Might seem like a minor gripe to most people, but dude, hearing that creepy ambiance and the sick distorted guitar riffs by NIN just really completes the whole experience.

All in all, really solid game. 10/10

This is a beautiful game. The artstyle is so ageless it's honestly a wonder, until you remember this was made by Valve. The voice actors are industry veterans and each character is full of personality and charm, you almost forget they're all convicted war criminals and actual psychopaths. If you have a dark sense of humor and want a multiplayer game with a thriving community, rewarding gameplay, amazing sound design and old-school cool fps mechanics, please please give this game a try. I will always love TF2. Valve, if you ever make TF3, please include more girl and nb mercs <3

Amazing campaign, great multiplayer (back when it was actually populated), and classic zombies, with an amazing modding community that's still active to this day. This is what every Call of Duty should strive to be. Call me nostalgia blind if you want. 10/10

Pretty sure most people view this as Minecraft in 2D, but it's so much more... It's got a ton of RPG elements, bosses, events, etc. Nowadays Minecraft is pretty hard to come back to, but Terraria has so much more replayability, at least imo. 10/10

A must-have for any zombie-loving gamer! (or FPS-loving gamer, for that matter) 10/10
