Megaman Battle Network is one of my favorite games of all times and as a kid I replayed them all endlessly. This game has been fantastic for scratching an itch that I've been wanting to get rid of for YEARS.

Even if you didn't play MMBN, it would be great for fans of Slay the Spire (another game I'm in love with). It has a very unique battle system with all of the roguelike fun of Slay the Spire. It's a wonderful experience that's hard to pull yourself away from.

I saw all these reviews with people having .1 hours in the game, .2 hours in the game, etc., so I decided to actually see for myself and download the game. Experience what everyone else was experiencing.

You need a minimum of 6 minutes to post a review. I could barely pass the 4 minute mark, and sat for 2 minutes on the menu screen just so I could write this.

I played one game that I hosted. The resolution was poor, but they didn't have a 1440x900 option in the settings (which, by the way, had "Performance" spelled as "Perfermance". Spelling errors? Really?), so I dealt with it. I had no instruction as to what I had to do, so I ran around and shot things and interacted with something it let me interact with. It did tell me that I was the rogue agent and had to launch a missile, but there was no missile in sight. I decided to jump in the water. I did, and I won the game because of it.

This game, from what I seem to understand, is sort of like TTT. Well, let me tell you, having invested 100s of hours into TTT, and comparing it to this game....This game is terrible. Go play TTT.

Some of the best 11 hours of my life. I'm not even done with the game yet (I plan to do all the sidequests. I completed the main story, and I thought it was hilarious all the way through.)

I can't think of anything bad about this game. I've been a longtime fan of South Park. I love the show, and playing this was my first experience with their games (I hear the others are really bad but, I don't know first hand). I laughed all the way through, I thought the gameplay was amazing, and it was great. Normally I hate turn-based games, with few exceptions like Pokemon or old Final Fantasy or Paper Mario. This game actually brought me a feeling of nostalgia, not just because I watched South Park throughout my life, but the nostalgia of using the turn-based system that's comparable to Paper Mario. Take the combat of Paper Mario, and the ridiculousness and humor of South Park, and you've got an amazing game.

10/10 would go to Ottawa again.

Early Access Review
Let me first point out, don't let my hours fool you. I discovered this game through a friend from school almost a year ago, and fell absolutely in love with it. We would play at school all the time, spending hours upon hours (time I should've spent towards work, but eh) playing this game whether at school, or in skype calls at home.

I don't commit to games well. Jade Dynasty, the Sly Cooper series, Runescape, and Of Guards and Thieves are some of the biggest titles of my life. Though I've owned 100s of games in my 17 years, there are no games I've invested more time into than these four. Of Guards and Thieves is a very simple concept. WASD to move, mouse to shoot, guards vs thieves (or guards vs zombies). But the strong community of great people, a connection to all of my friends, and the countless hours of fun have turned this simple game into a game I treasure. The staff at SubvertGames are amazing and always willing to help. I've talked to and played with a few in-game, which is a pretty cool experience. How many games have you played where you're playing with the developers? They're interesting people, they come up with great ideas, they listen to the community, and they're all around great.

A great thing about the development team is their ability to make a great game. I'll warn you now, this is no hack and slash, run around and kill everything type of game. This game requires strategy and skill. A thief that expects to rugby tackle and shank guards into the ground will get nowhere, and a guard that wanders aimlessly near corners and dark places almost deserves to be stabbed to death. If you treat this game like a 2D top-down shooter, you'll get nowhere. I put more thought and effort into my playing than I do playing Stratego.

For an early access game, this game is pretty glitch-free. There are a few bugs here and there, but there's not a lot I've ever run into in the past year I've spent with this game.

The game is constantly expanding. When I joined, there were 2 classes for each team, and one gamemode. It was a wonderful game, but my friends and I kept brainstorming new ideas as we got bored. Now the developers are talking about custom loadouts and a map editor? Can I get a hellyeah.

I love this game, and I would love to see your beautiful face in the community. This is a wonderful game, with wonderful developers, and it deserves your $15. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me or find me in-game. I will do anything to sway people to join this growing community.

I'll see you on the battlefield.

Between this game and Alan Wake's American Nightmare, I had so much fun playing these games. Between a deep, compelling story, some hilarious moments, a good soundtrack (I've come to find myself listening to the soundtrack to this and the sequel in my spare time), and just an all around fun game, I fell in love. Someone recommended this game to me saying "it's a game where you point flashlights at monsters and they die." Let me tell you now, as fun as the light mechanic in this game is, there is so much more going for this game. Buy it ASAP.

Just let me point out though. I got this during the Christmas sale, for $4 for the complete edition. I personally don't think this game is worth $40 (I don't think any game is worth $40), but I recommend it all the same.
