I could write a long review with pros/cons but no one will read it anyway.

It's Dark Souls 4 + open world + new mechanics like jumping. The open world is amazing visually and massive. Don't believe people saying this game is 10/10 or 11/10, it's 8/10 with some pretty bad moments and it has issues, be it performance issues (at release), cryptic and obtuse sidequests that don't work well in a big map like this, or bad game design like overtuned enemies, enemies that don't follow the same gameplay rules like your character, and bosses with broken moves and unfair mechanics. The open world feels a bit dead and empty sometimes, but it's because of what happened to it. Some bad thing is the fact that if you go to NG+, you have chests and dungeons with zero rewards which is something ridiculously bad, game design wise.

It has good presentation, fun combat and great animations (skills/spells) but the 1 million mechanics/systems, broken hitboxes on bosses and the stupid RNG stuff that gonna force you to grind like a madman or empty your wallet are terrible.

This game should have been an ARPG with a mix of MMO and not a full MMO.

> Garbage ass crafting system. I was really not looking forward to find a crafting system in this game since i came from PoE and the "crafting" in that game (more like gambling) it is an aberration and it gives me nightmares.

40% OFF was still too much. Maybe buy this game when they finish the story and only for 75% OFF. Also, don't mind my hours in the game, most of the time i was doing another thing like playing with my dog or washing the dishes, since those activities are more fun than this game.

I guess this was the third time i tried to get into this game. The combat is RIDICULOUSLY SLOW and CLUNKY, also, the HITBOXES are BAD and fighting more than ONE enemy is almost impossible. The game also is demanding af and it doesn't even look that good to require so much of your CPU and GPU. Maybe the devs will fix this horrible combat in the sequel.

I'm writing this short review full of frustration and sadness. I've always wanted to play this game but after trying 5 times, yes, FIVE times to get into this game, i realized i just can't. The CAMERA is atrocious, the COMBAT feels clunky and annoying 95% of the time, a lot of INVISIBLE walls and the MONSTERS have some cheap attacks/moves that always find a way to hit you.

The graphics/visuals, the music, the setting and lore are great. Sir Patrick Stewart voice is always amazing to hear, but with a boring and annoying gameplay and camera, i just can't recommend this and i think i will never be able to finish this game.

It sucks.

EDIT: I could write a gigantic wall to explain why this game is bad but no one will read it anyway. So i will just gonna say this to justify the negative review:

The devs don't respect your time and effort, they hate fun and only cater to streamers and selling MtX. Also, poorly ass optimization.

The combat is trash. The combat/movement is clunky/slow/janky and you have bad hitboxes too. Don't waste your time and money with this.

It's worth it, very, just buy it.

Terrible. You have no idea who is shooting you and who you need to shoot because you have 300000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 trillions things happening at the same time. ♥♥♥♥ this stupid game.

Even though you have some bugs and glitches here and there and the creepy/horror elements aren't that strong, this game is still a Metro game after all. You have amazing visuals, fun and realistic gunplay, a "okay-ish" semi open-world, decent characters and decent story, survival elements and the super hard options if you want. The best part tbh is Artyom and Anna, their interactions, i mean, Artyom doesn't talk, but his actions combined with Anna's dialogues are very worth it imo.

BUT...and i was only able to see this after some time. The difficulty settings and the exploration of the open-world are..."oof" tbh. Like, harder difficulties are cool because the encounters with enemies are more dangerous but the loot is reduced so much that it damages the fun of the game.
You have places with a lot of mutants and not always you can go stealthly so you ended up using a lot of ammo and then you don't get much from the X (or ?) places that you can explore. The easier difficulties are nice because you gain more resources, but the danger is minimal, you can get hit 10-12 times by mutants and not die (this on EASY and NORMAL, READER mode makes you pretty much immortal). I can really see now that the open-world of Exodus is very odd and not that rewarding, so this can make you dislike the game after you realize how strange and annoying it can be.
