This game is fantastic. It's very addicting, continuously challenging, and it's a game where you learn more each time.

I'm grateful enough to have an assortment of good friends who enjoy this as well and we've learned to work together to prep for the seasons ahead of time, and try our best to survive the random unknowns.

Starting out can be overwhelming, but you definitely learn from your failures (or experiences from others).

Klei is fantastic as is their support and community and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future brings.

Beautiful, immersive game. No doubt Limbo-esque in nature, but I feel it has more charm.

The overall atmosphere is great. The use of colors helps draw you into the world. Having to rescue your villager friends gives you purpose instead of just stumbling through the game.

Music is sprinkled throughout the game, and never "too much" in any area. Environmental sounds are well-balanced and never out of place.

I switched between controller and mouse/keyboard throughout the game, mainly when it game to the puzzle sections.

The controller is a bit unweidly for the puzzles, but for the majority of the game, it felt like the most appropriate choice for navigation and actions.

The puzzle sections were a nice intermission from the main game for a minute or two.

It has replay value if you've missed any villagers (I missed 4), and also a potential for speedrunning for those interested. I'd love to see someone do a deathless run of this game (I racked up 190 deaths >.< )

There are some frustratingly fun sections, but just have a bit of patience.

Overall, a solid offerring. I had fun and could definitely recommend this to others who enjoy the puzzle platformer genre.

A simplistic concept, well-executed and not-so-simple at times, backed with a tremendously wonderful atmospheric soundtrack. Point A to Point B, but not so easily in this kaliedoscope-type world. Just a square, trying to make it in a circular world.

Grab it, play it, experience it. At no point does play get stale and it is just a wonderful experience to play something such as this.

This game baffles me. I'm not sure quite how to feel about it.

It's visually stunning and the music / audio is great. I've completed the game and struggled on at least 3 levels, one being the last level. I'm unsure if I missed a narrative queue here and there, but I got frustrated a bit.

It was a relief to finish it, and I ended up going back again and doing some of the levels again.

Would I recommend it? I'm voting yes...however, I like the 'odd' type of game, so it fits with who I am as a gamer. It may not be for everyone, but if you're up for a unique experience, give it a whirl.

Warning: This game is addictive.

"One more game..." hours later.

Use jump / jetpack, and tether shot and remote to navigate your way through numerous trials and challenges in an FPS format.

You can get by with gold and silver, but if you want diamond...well, you'll need precise planning and movement to hit everything just right. There is a global leaderboard as well as a friends leaderboard.

This is not my regular style of game, but I'm immensely enjoying it.

Great work, devs.

Wow. Just wow.
I'm SERIOUSLY impressed with this game. I haven't geeked out this hard in...well..forever.

Great hacking sim. Definite replayability. Exciting missions (some clench moments), and a great story.

10/10

P.S. Screw you, NAIX... I still hate you.

This game is addictive.

I screwed around with it for about 102 hours before finally taking it seriously. As of this review, I've put in at least another 104 hours over 3 weeks. >.>

The more items you unlock, the pickier you become with your starts.

Damn challenging, keeps me interested, and good for short-attention span gamers.

Praise RNGsus.

Toren is a beautiful game. The art style is fantastic, as well as the story. Don't expect anything lenghty as the running time for the game is approximately 2 hours (give or take a few deaths).

The controls felt a tad clunky, but after awhile you get used to them. I'd have to say this is the only negative thing for me about the game.

It was a very enjoyable experience otherwise and I'd recommend it if you want something a bit on the chill side, but with a mix of platforming / adventure.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this game so far.

Art-style: Black and white and red all over. Really enjoy the Noire style, and I found that there is nothing that detracts from each scene at all. Good quality work, and a few 'oohs and ahhs' from myself as well.

Music: Fantastic. The soundtrack has the bluesy sound you find with the Noire genre. From the background soundtrack, to cutscenes as well as credits, it fits beautifully within the game. Definitely grabbing this OST.

Gameplay: It took me a brief period of time to get used to WASD walking (and I didn't realize that 'shift' would work to job until later in the game). The use of the mouse during the action scenes didn't seem to be as responsive, however, I have a standard $10 mouse, so it could have been my issue alone. :)

Replay Value: Definitely. I played this game and let chat make some of the choices (didn't realize how many immoral people I had in chat). I'll be waiting to complete the entire series before going back to play the game 'my way'. :)

Overall, this is definitely worth the time to pick up if you enjoy a good story, music, and atmosphere. Above all, I had a great time playing this, which is the most important thing.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the series and congratulations to A Crowd of Monsters for creating a quality experience.

Love this game. Very unforgiving, yet I'm never frustrated with it. Challenging, and rather interesting trying to play multiplayer on 1 keyboard.
