Another great Monster Hunter iterations. Much more fluid and fast paced compared to the older games. Wirebugs is a nice addition too and it gives a meaningful combat change compared to the clutch claw which only adds a tedious task to engage a monster. There's a lot to be desired graphic wise, especially if you jump in from Monster Hunter World, but if you've played since the few first game like me it's perfectly fine. The whole game give me Monster Hunter Portable 3rd vibes. The japanese themed village (Yukumo and Kamura), all the locale, even the main monster (Narwa and Ibushi) is very similar in design to the final boss of MHP3rd (Amatsumagatsuchi) I wouldn't be surprised if they are related. My only complaint is the steep price for a switch port but overall this game is 100 percent worth to buy.

Bought this on a whim, cause it's like 2 dollars so why not. And boy how amazing this game is. Breathtaking scenery, almost lifelike. The swaying grass, the thick foliage, the shimmering water, and even the particle effects is very well done. All that in medium graphic settings, imagine how it looks in ultra setting. The animals is very well done too with realistic render and behaviour.

As for gameplay itselfes you pretty much spends 90 percent of time following tracks, walking through the beautiful environment and taking a look through your binos once in a while. You can feel your excitement rising when you spot one of the animals, even more so if it's a rare one. Bring out your gun, center the crosshair and pull the trigger. That's when you know that all that hard work has paid off.

5/7 would recommend. Do keep in mind that there's a lot of DLC besides that base game (more maps, weapons, and some QOL stuffs) but the base game itself is very worth the price. I've played 26 hours and have only explored about 20 percent of the map.

Great games for it's time. Vast open world with deliberate choice on your own story. Stunning graphics and sountracks. Bugs is everywhere though and the NPC AI are whacky at times. A timeless masterpiece.
