I honestly wasn't expecting to get impersonated any time soon, as I'm not really well known and don't have a very valuable backpack, but I heard accounts will copy random profiles that have a decent amount of text to sound legit. It's what I get for typing quite a bit in my profile boxes, I guess.

I'm glad people look into things and realize what's going on and don't get scammed. I'm worried that some have been scammed ( in general and by someone using my name in particular ), but there's not much I can do about that, unfortunately.

I just got a comment from that scam account too. I reported it and am telling my friends to report it. Really sucks that this could affect your reputation a little

So your impersonator is going under the alias of Ayano-Beast currently. If anyone else gets this invite, the profile has a weeb/anime theme not like phantom concepts. The impersonator has a lvl 50 account, over 4+ thousand hours (TF2), almost all achievements on the same day (TF2), no play time on any characters (TF2), and private inventory. The only thing in common is that it has copied your about section word for word and still mentions your main account phantom panther. Scammers are very good at ratting themselves out, do your research before accepting random invites people.

That's not me. I haven't added anyone recently or asked to be added either. Not sure why they've copied my name and some of my profile or how. I asked a friend about it and apparently there are bots that can do this sort of thing. Feel free to report the profile, if you'd like, as it's clearly dodgy. I think I will as well. Thanks for letting me know and sorry that happened to you. Hopefully you haven't lost anything.
