Death, frustration and fun...with friends!

The game itself is great. It's much improved from 4 and adds a lot of really great QoL improvements. Pagan Min is a fun villain and the sidequests are enjoyable/funny as expected from the franchise.

However, playing it on PC is a tragedy of annoyance. Buying it on Steam still forces you to download Ubisoft's native launcher which is so annoying. Not to mention Ubiconnect or whatever it's called doesn't really work. The game mechanics glitch a lot, they're not very fluid. It's an absolute hurdle to try and play multiplayer even with both players online through UPlay and everything. Which just makes the whole experience a headache. In hindsight, I probably would have preferred to play this one on console. My negative review is purely because the PC port is just bad and Ubisoft is irritating for making you use its launcher.

Psychological horror, trauma, point+click storytelling, puzzles. Five stars no notes.

I've died to fall damage more than anything else in this game.

Nothing quite like defeating a god and then dying to fall damage because you're addicted to rolling. Never change, souls games.

It is what it is.

As always, it's got its problems and its positives. EA's pay to win system continues to frustrate, but I still sink hundreds of hours into the game each year.

Another year, another FM game.

Short and interesting. A good psychological horror game that relies on atmosphere and story rather than jump scares or thrills. Visually interesting and thought provoking, great soundtrack. Don't get spoiled, just play it.
