"Casually hardcore" is how I describe my approach to games and a lot of things in general.
For example, I like to discover what settings are available, but not care enough to tune it to perfection.

Played games since 1999 on a Famiclone then a Windows 98 PC a year later - usually with VisualBoyAdvanced in the later years.
It was not until 2008 that I've started my video game journey for real with a huge leap to a Windows Vista PC.

Types of game I usually like are cinematic adventure, third/first-person action/adventure, arcade/simcade racing, VSRG, and lewd sim .
While I do play multi-player, I mostly play single-player.
I never support games requiring constant Internet connection that can be perfectly played alone
yet are neither free nor a true massively multiplayer online game.
