A short but very tight little puzzler. Probably took me about an hour (left the game running) a bit to 100%. Several "Oooh" moments that were very enjoyable. Worth picking up to support an independent developer!

The game has an interesting premise, but it's just not very....fun.

The core of the game is building "slipways", or connections between planets, that allow planets to trade their resources with each other. Each planet has one of several fixed biomes; on each biome, you have a limited set of choices on what the input and output will be.

So, it ends up being this kind of...matching game, where you're trying to find a set of planets that can connect to each other and meet their needs. This just ends up being, in reality, a lot of short-term calculation. And that's pretty much it. It's like doing, like, mini jigsaw puzzles where RNG means the puzzle may or may not be solvable.

And, there's basically a good solution or there isn't. There's no strategy, just...making sure it all lines up, or moving on to a different part of the sector.

There are a couple meaningful choices -- notably, what perks you start with, and what technologies there are. But the perks are chosen before you see any information about your sector, so it's a choice made in a vacuum. The tech choices can also be meaningful, but there are only a couple of them in the game, and making the right choice often involves doing yet more calculations, where you survey the board to count up how valuable each technology would be.
