Yeesh. Where do I start.

In general, the game can be intense but also great fun.

I see some spelling mistakes (in subtitles and armour names) and I also see a lot of glitches. Especially when Iron-Man shoots his repulsors, they can sound like a wet slap from time to time; after entering the Hulk Buster (please fix).

Hoping they expand the characters by giving them new heroic abilities. However, what we have now will suffice.

I like looter shooters so I don't have a problem with the addition of a loot system but what's weird is when you're putting loot on is that it doesn't change the look of the character (hey I know they gotta monetise this game but surely you make it so loot can still change the look of a character). Square Enix you could have paid skins override the look as an option. It feels weird having a looter shooter when the loot that your character has isn't aesthetically reflected during game-play.

Combat can feel iffy - I feel if they add impacting sounds and add better cinematic cameras for takedowns/cool moves that combat will benefit from this.

Another thing that pisses me off is that SPIDER-MAN is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PS exclusive, I chose to play on PC because I don't want to play with 30-60 mere frames on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ resolution. They better say in a couple months time that he is a timed exclusive otherwise I'm going to be MAD (like Hulk).

Over half way through the campaign and I recommend it. There a lot of cool moments that made me smile.
Buy this game to support it so they can add more content.

PS. If they give Sony another exclusive I'm boycotting this game.

I love Telltale games, especially the Batman series. This is practically an interactive TV show where choices do matter. Your decisions impact a wide range of things; from what your batman looks like to the way characters speak to you, that means that all episodes are re-playable to a degree.

You aren't experiencing the same story twice, but in fact, creating YOUR Batman.

In my 2nd run through, I went through the traditional compassionate Batman route where I was only aggressive to the villains (to the point where I don't straight out KO them) and was nice as Bruce. I saw a lot of exciting easter eggs/references - like why the Penguin limps, or how Two-Face burnt one side of his face. I love how your choices impact the villains' state of mind, physical attributes and the way they talk, not only does this mainly apply to the antagonists but Alfred, Gordon, Selina, and more.

The DLC: Shadows Mode is awesome, ultimately, it made me happy to see luminous colours after staring at a simplistic black and white filter for ages. It brings your experience into a new light and is definitely worth a purchase!

I love this game but not a much as the sequel, you need to play this first to experience what a masterpiece the sequel is.

Please purchase this game, as this will help Telltale regrow and create Season 3. I'm so happy Telltale is back! Hopefully, they continue this series and plan out potential spin-offs, I hope for a Superman, Green Lantern or a Flash telltale, only one can hope. Maybe they could even make A DC Telltale Universe or DCTU for short.

Thanks for reading :)

This game doesn't care about the little people, especially Oceania - Myself and my friends usually spend a long time finding a game, ultimately, receiving a handful of teammates with an insignificant amount of brain cells resulting in the match ending within the first five minutes. Yet, not all games are like this, there are people who actually know how to play and well, when you meet one it can be a bit toxic.

I honestly feel like the developers WILL in fact abandon this game, why? The launch failed miserable with a hefty amount of mixed reviews. Now, all I get are people comparing this game to DBD or sometimes even Friday The 13th. "DBD failed its launch and look at it now" but here's the thing, The developers didn't launch the game on discord, go AWOL, lie to their fan-base about the player count and the roadmap. They also spent a total of 1 year adding a spider and finally, releasing the game on steam. It should've of been obvious from the get go, DO NOT ever release a game on an experimental platform.

However, the game itself is 'fine'. Apart from the matchmaking issues, I have to commend the developers for the execution of their concept. It is fun. Mostly, re-playable and beautiful. I do have to wonder, an asymmetrical game with chapters feels like the game may be ripping off DBD, and don't get me started about the arcanium. (Bloodweb) I know, I know, DBD wasn't the first one to invent chapters but look at it from a certain point of view. Outside of the core gameplay, Last Year doesn't bring anything NEW to the table. Bloodweb check, perks check, cosmetics check, currency check. There isn't anything new.

What is new is how killers and survivors are VERY different to other games, in retrospect, you have to also commend the game by allowing survivors to search for scrap and craft items that WILL influence the tide of the game. Killer is broken without a doubt, anyone who tells me otherwise is stupid.

Here is why..
The speed of certain killers, especially the spider - You can't outrun it if it spits venom at you - the spider itself doesn't even have stamina! Killers can down you and execute you immediately (this is worse if a strangler hooks you and pushes you onto a trap, you are essentially screwed) & when a killer executes someone they can't be interrupted, and are immune to all damage. They can disappear immediately the person is executed. Tiny spiders serve no other purpose but to annoy the hell out of you.

Alongside survivors, it's a cocktail.
Killer is broken. Nothing else said.

The game can get stale or fun.
Don't buy it right now, give it a few months.
