*updated review, a lot of personal stuff. TLDR - one of the games ever, buy it, won't regret it.

Once you get your head into this game, there is a great chance you'll be hooked.

If you liked Larian's Divinity, you'll love BG3. It is astounding, both gameplay and storywise. The sheer amount of dialog and interaction make my hands itch to spend a few more hours in it instead of going to bed. I keep reloading my saves to go through all of the options, to listen to what characters have to say, to play the wonky battle tactics I came up with. And that's only this playthrough, where I manually put some restrictions on myself to roleplay.

Masterful performance by the VA crew, and not only the main cast, who are the GOATs, but the side characters as well. The soundtrack is immersive and touches all the right strings.
I have never experienced this much great content, and I am ready to buy this game twice just to support what the devs and anyone associated with this game have done. You can just tell when a product is made with love, and oh boy, this game is cherished.

If any of the people who worked on this game ever sees this, I want you to know how much we all appreciate your art.
It's a masterpiece, which has some bugs and performance issues, but Larian keeps updating the game and fixing a lot of stuff in a short amount of time. It still is worth more than the price they're charging, and it is obvious they love their playerbase.
I love this game and I will spend many more hours in it.
Buy it, and get lost in it yourself.

I still love it as much as I was the day I got it. I will play through again, make different choices and roleplay as someone else this time, choose another build for my PC.

Any game has things that could be improved, BG3 is no exception.
Just from the top of my head: sometimes the loading time is just too much, the textures don't load as fast as I would like during some cutscenes and when entering new areas. I encountered the dialog lines starting a bit early a few times and animation not keeping up to them. During combat my character can pick an "interesting" path to the objective and jump right into the chasm, even though they had no obstacles when "previewing" the move. My bound weapons mysteriously don't go back to the wielder from time to time. ACT 3 feels rushed at times and some parts deserve to be more polished, some bits need more or better closure.

Yet, these "complaints" are still so minor compared to all the good and amazing things you get from this game. I've finally seen the credits today and can honestly say that people who took part in this game's creation are the best out there from my point of view. You can really feel the sweat, blood and tears this game was built on. I can't wait to hear more about Larian's new projects and unfortunately can't say "thank you" enough times to justify how much I enjoyed this adventure.

The key characters and companions I absolutely love and a lot of them I hold near and dear to heart. My absolute favorites by far are Shadowheart (such a great performance from Jennifer English, I fell in love with her voice and the portrayal of the character!), Minsk (who is voiced by the one and only Matthew Mercer!) and Wyll (Theo Solomon really nails his role as a bit cocky and naive, but non the less charming and ever heroic Blade of Frontiers!). Other companions and their VO's are also GREAT, and there is really not a single one I could pick that I didn't like! Every one of them deserves love (Neil Newbon with his sassy vampire spawn I am yet to enjoy to the fullest in a new playthrough)! I also really liked the side characters and can recall a ton of them by name, which is a rarity to me. I still remember Aradin from ACT 1/3 and purposefully found his VO - Ash Rizi on the internet because I was interested in who the person behind the voice is.

To conclude this unnecessary long text:
This game is a love letter to all of DnD, TTRPG's and BG1&2 fans out there, to all RPG enjoyers in general, and to me personally, cause I was yearning for such experience ever since I finished Dragon Age Origins as a kid!
Thank you Larian and all the people who put their soul and passion into this project!

You are loved!

Это пазл-конструктор. Можно попробовать его собрать, а можно потешить свой инженерный гений.
