Fear and Hunger is frustratingly difficult at times but if you keep playing you'll realize that a lot of care and time went into the design choices in this game. Fear and Hunger constantly encourages you to explore and try new strategies in dealing with enemies which can sometimes feel a little too punishing at times but it makes more rewarding when you actually manage to do something right. Playing this game blind is almost a must since a lot of the best moments in this game is discovering some weird or crazy event on your own. Overall I recommend this game to anyone that has a tolerance to difficult games and are looking a fresh experience.

You play as a fat italian man that runs really fast into cheese people and has to collect pizza toppings for money so you can pay off the debt collector. This game is goty and if you don't buy it right now I'm going to turn you and everyone you love into pizza.

Overall the gameplay is pretty fluid, fast paced, and with randomly generated maps this goes surprisingly well together. My only real complaint is that some of the guns are just obviously better than others and like you're never going to take those weapons so it just seems kind of pointless to include in the first place. The music in my opinion is real good, i like the whole atmosphere that the music gives off with each new area that you go into and some of the ambient sound effects they throw into too just blend the whole thing together. The art is alright, its not crazy or anything but i think the developers did a good job on it. They made the enemies easily distinguishable from the backgrounds and also from each other. The story isn't really the focal point of the whole game but i mean its alright i think they did what they set out to do. I really like the whole looping system in this game i think that's what kinda stood out for me because that's when it gets really crazy. You start out as some small fry on 1-1 but after loop 1 you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ armed with like 2 double miniguns or some ♥♥♥♥ it just does a good job at making you feel powerful and that you're actually progressing. The difficulty of this game is really grueling when you first start out i wont lie. Like this game will kick your ass the first few or so hours and you'll just want to give up but like i said before it does such a good job at making you feel like you are getting further. I forgot to mention mutations earlier too but those are like upgrades for your character and they each have their own unique effect with some being honestly useless to a must-have. Anyways i give Dosukebe Mesu No Alice a 9/10 its just a solid game id recommend.
