So, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Rightous...

This is essencially a CRPG. Imagine Baldur's Gate 3, but using Pathfinder 1st Edition TTRPG Rules.
That means that Wrath is much less friendly than Baldurs' D&D 5ed, but also that you have a LOT more depth, freedom and choices on how to build your character and party.
If you like TTRPGs, this is one of the better and most robust systems ever (and my favorite one, tbh): Strategic, but not overly complex.

Now lets talk about NARRATIVE and ANIMATION.
Wrath doesn't have animated cutscenes with dazzling realistic graphics. You will mostly interact with the narrative via gameplay and text based choices/skill tests. Some characters will have voice acted dialogues, and some won't, depending on the character relevance and if you are progressing through the main quest or some major character questline. This doesn't suck per se, it just shows that Wrath was much cheaper and had much less resource to work with.
The story is awesome, and you have a lot of freedom in your choices and how you can navigate the game.
You can be good, evil, crazy, an interdimensional cop, a genocidal menace to the world, or an ascended god yourself. In fact, a lot of the evil choices in this game are VERY VERY well thought and made, not being just some kind of quirky sideline story, but actually containing classes and progressions only attained by evil doers.
You can romance some characters, others you can't.
Some are into guys, some are into girls, and some go both sides. This is very cool, since it really captures how everybody in the world have preferences, even if you are the coolest guy/girl in Golarion.

Another cool feature of this game is that you will level up with experience from missions and fights, but you also have something called a mythic path, that give you levels in an mythic class based on the story progress. The sheer variety of classes and combinations of mythics in this game is NUTS. Really. And this gives a LOT of replayability to the game, since you want to do other runs to play with other classes and mythics to see how those things affect the story.

I finished my first playthorugh in about 300 hours, trying to explore everything I could in a single playthrough. Later I learned I missed 3 characters to my party and some minor questlines (excluding the ones I lost because a choice I made made them unavailable).

At last, it is worth to mention that the game is HARD. But you can play with the difficulty to make it better suit your knowledge of the system. Also, the game has turn based combat, but you can change it to real time combat by pressing a key, making things a little more dynamic (especially in trivial combats).
Personally I don't use this feature, but I can see how a lot of people would like that.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is my second favorite game of all time, and it really really delivers a fantastic experience if you are willing to put the effort on it.

As a former Overwatch Crackhead, Content Creator and overall Fan, Marvel RIvals remembers me of a time when Overwatch was all about the game, and not about corporate greed.

Its mechanics are not as smooth as Overwatch always were, but its ideas and intentions are much better.
I love how they tried to make this game a very broad experience for its players, even trying to link its experience to the lore and marvel universe.

Also, its monetization is worlds better than any successful multiplayer online game I can think of (maybe taking Legends of Runeterra aside). Its fair, it gives you tons of stuff and really rewards players that keep playing the game.

I've never been a Marvel fan (and comic fan, for that matter), but this game actually got me interested a bit more in the Marvel Universe, specially in some not so known characters like Squirrel Girl.

The only cons that can be felt with this game is its optimization (It would really help to have a smoother framerate/overall lower hardware requirement) and its community (as all online communities, that are more focused on crying about their losses/why the game is bad, than actually enjoying the game, which is a staple for every multiplayer competitive game nowadays), but I can't deny that this is one, if not the best, competitive multiplayer game at the moment.

If you like even the idea of hero shooters, give this a try.

This is a marvelous game.
It blends roguelike/lite and metroidvania elements, with crazy action packed FPS shooting.

You start a run, you can go to different stages, depending in you choices (Dead Cells style), get bonuses, collect resources, eventually die (or complete the run) and spend resources upgrading stuff to try again.

Also, you open new paths and secret abilities finding items and completing objectives throughout your runs.
Very very fun game and you can see the devs really cared for it with every update.

If anything I said here got your interest, please give Roboquest a try.
Maybe this game will hook you like it hooked me when I casually started it.

Ok. This game gives me confidence that the devs REALLY know what they are doing.

In the Rift of the Necrodancer, the devs mixed guitar hero gameplay with Crypt of Necrodancer mechanics and a sprinkle of the Warioware series.

Everything is very polished and beautiful.
Animations are very fluid and you can see there was a very special care to make the gameplay fun and interesting.

Don't be fooled by the apparent simplicity of having only 3 lanes to play. The brain meltdown experience you had in Crypt of the Necrodancer is still here. 10/10.

Also, thumbs up for not overpricing the game as the whole industry has been doing.
I can't thank you enough for that.

Ok, Risk of Rain 2.
It's like going from Mario World to Mario 64.
If you liked Risk of Rain gameplay, buy RoR2.

Also, if you liked Risk of Rain music, listen and buy the RoR2 soundtrack.

Okay, Im a big fan of FailBetter and what they try to achieve with their unique Sunless games. So Ill try to make a valuable review here. There are 2 kinds of ppl who may be considering buying this...

...If you don't know/have Sunless Seas:
The best way I think I can describe this game is saying it is reading game. Do you remember some oldschool RPG books that played out like a "choices matters" game? Like if you choose A, go to page X, if you choose B, go to page Y? This is kinda one of the main mechanics of the Sunless Games. Everything is beautifully and carefully written, and there are some RPG elements on your choices (like stats/itens/quests can determine the outcome of your choice).
Besides this "reading" part, the game counts with have tons exploration, a simple but enjoyable combat and some roguelike/rpg elements (like perma-ish death, experimentation on choices and a pinch of grinding).
So the very purpose of the game is to read and delight yourself with the world and the consequences of your actions.
Because all of that, DON'T play/buy the game if you dont enjoy reading.
In case you do though, this game is awesome, unique and may be for you.
Still, I would recommend buying "Sunless Seas" first. Its cheaper, it has a better tutorial and, if you like it, you can be 100% sure you will like this one too. Is Sunless Skies better than Sunless Seas? Yes, but not for much. And if you know how to play Sunless Seas, everything about the tutorial on Skies is much smoother.

Now, if you played Sunless Seas before:
More stories, a much larger world and much better death system (game is not supposed to be played in Merciful). Also better combat and less grinding. I loved Sunless Seas and I cant imagine someone who liked it, disliking his one. 100% BUY.

This game is awesome. With little mechanics it makes you feel like you can do so much. Also, very very nice story.

Fun game. Very unique concepts...
I think the best I can do without ruining it with spoilers is: Its a game about creating a cult/playing with the occult, but the mechanics are like a complex solitaire that represent actions. You do stuff, combine cards and that yeld results, and different cards that can be used and combined to do other actions.
Reminds me a bit of those "Doodle God" games, but with more and beter mechanics (usually involving time) and in the former your objective is to discover everything, but here the objective is to discover a specific path for a specific goal.

I tried my best to give a heads up, now go, play and explore.
