Feels good to play. Not too far off the original.

No native curved stations and a barebones representation of British rolling stock (nothing workshop mods can't fix but don't load too many up).

Very much happy this has a Linux port.

Notice: This review has been updated to inform SM2 works on Linux via Proton again,

There are also intermittent crashes, at leas on my end, when transitioning from end of level back to the ship. Occasional crashes in other places from time to time. This however might of been due to my hardware.

Offline works. Classic hack n Slash far less clunky than SM1 and certainly a great nominee for Steam awards 2024

Only experienced online PvE. Just as much rip and tear. Not a massive fan of a class lockout to only one player per class but not a big deal overall.

get 2020 with TSW2. It's cheaper and you get more DLCs

I got this with TSW2020

So far so good. PZB is still a bit of a challenge for me but that just comes with practice.

Route is lovely to look at.

I highly recommend PZB and Sifa on for the full experience.

(pro tip, bring some chill music)

Would like the stock be compatible with the livery editor though

I snagged this for a 10er because it's not worth the price TDG is wanting you to pay.

Looks good, sounds okay and that's about it.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy it, however:

Introduction falls at the start as it fails to tell you that you have to arm the circuit breaker (I restarted it once after I mashed buttons in fear I broke the train)

It's a bit boring after a short amount of time. I find myself doing something else after 1 or 2 services

Nice to have the Duplex but I wish there was more variety. Even if the silver and blue livery just showed up it would be alright.

This probably isn't even worth a 10er either but wait for a good sale if you want the TGV.

It's actually cheaper to buy this game with its included DLCs than to buy them separately and then use them on TSW2.

Realistic to the point that the poor infrastructure has been ported over. This also includes the full lack of 100% electrification on the line.
