Game is pretty fun, worth to give a try and can be a great game in future considering it is still in development, although I don't recommend it for new players to heavily invest into the game currently or play competitively because few reasons.

First, the tutorial doesn't really help you, even if it is an early access game, a good tutorial is needed for new players to play or at least enjoy the game in the beginning. Of course it is dependent on your preference whether you want get farmed by experienced players over and over to barely learn anything, and get good after hundreds of games or you want a great tutorial and balanced match system to not get overwhelmed by everything in the start. If you are okay with the former(which I was), yes try out this game.

Second, players that are from east coast have a huge advantage over west coast due to ping difference, it makes you loot slower, react slower, combo slower, hell, it even makes some character UNPLAYABLE, which is really not fun and fair when you want to play competitively, be aware, the ping reliance for this game is much higher than league of legends. FPS drops is another issue when you play squads mode in this game, considering it is one of the mode that is actually a little more beginner friendly to start the game with, (huge high skill ceiling compare to solo tho), it is really an annoyance to have lag during team fights and bad first impression for new players.

It helps tremendously if you watch good players play but some of the top partner streamer are either complaining about the game EVERY STREAM or can't stop be toxic, which makes you question if the game is worth playing it if they invested so many hours into it and not having fun. Again this can be the streamers just like to whine, but this is the only game I have seem streamers complain this much on a daily basis.

Community wise is a mix-review, devs do try their best to balance despite the balance is one of worst moba I have played. But what's important is devs do listen most of the time, although there is a recent adela bug that players reported weeks ago and dev did not fix it until ERCL (the official tournament where it happened, then they decide to try fix it asap, rather try fix it asap when players reported it)


After a couple hundred hours in, MAINLY FOR SOLO MODE, you will realize the higher the ladder it goes, the more rng comes to play, your lobby decides how contested your loot is, your lobby decides who to get fed, your loot drops and new/unlucky players running into you decides if you can snow ball, your dock bear drops you higher placement, and when you play certain characters(xiukai, nadine), how fast other people dying and what location the zone closes determine your scaling, WHICH MAKES THE GAMER SUPER BORING/RNG TO PLAY, you are not playing based on your skills, you are playing for better rng/pings.

Competitive tournaments are really fun to play but it is gate-kept by ping/fps issues, I have played in the ERCL twice which are all great experiences and I appreciate the opportunities to participate, but I do question dev's decision to make and dump good money on big tourneys already when the server is buggy and laggy to play on, rather than using that budget to improve the server and game-play, or even tutorial to improve player experiences, one of the lumia mania tournament where they did the invitation was not fun to watch either where it's just one more experienced team farming all other teams, I don't get the marketing behind it, I feel like instead it makes the audience from these streamers not want to play if anything. Without a good marketing team, even if the game is super well made, it is hard to be successful, which worries me a bit for the future development for this game.
