Pure-blooded, raw factory logistics.

Playing feels frictionless, the controls, blueprints, and building are all expertly integrated. Dragging conveyors locks their alignment, dragging through obstacles auto-builds underground conveyors, and placing ghosts or blueprints over objects automatically plans them for deconstruction—so many tiny details all work together to ensure a fluid building experience. There are hundreds of these features embedded into the game, you don't always consciously notice them, but they are there and you can feel it when you play.

The devs are passionate and talented; this is very possibly the most well-polished and optimised game I've ever played. I can't say I have encountered a single game breaking or even 'game-inconveniencing' bug in my entire 400 hours of playtime which I have racked up over nearly a decade. On top of that, it is very well optimised for Linux, there is an official Linux build and it works flawlessly. In fact there are even added features for Unix-based systems like async saving which forks the Factorio process, allowing autosaves to run completely in the background. This again ensures a fluid experience.

The gameplay is well designed, enemies match your pace due to their implementation being based on your own output. It's perfectly timed, as soon as you finish one task the next one becomes available. This precise balance is what many people attribute the insanely addictive nature of this game to.

Factorio, almost infamously, never goes on sale and only ever increases in price. Personally, as someone who often sits on steamDB checking price history graphs, calculating how long I'll have to wait before the next sale brings a game down to its real price—it's refreshing to just have the game actually be priced fairly. You'll never 'miss out on a deal' or get forced to wait for a sale. On the surface it does sound greedy, but I'd say it's actually a pro-consumer— or at least 'consumer-neutral' practice.

The DLC is well polished, well thought out and well priced. It essentially adds as much content as the main game, and it costs the same amount. The base game is still completely intact and playable, fully supported and enjoyable.

There are also tons of mods to switch up gameplay, many different ways to play, loads of achievements to go for. I see myself playing this game for a very long time. If you appreciate good game design, consumer-facing practices and enjoy obsessing over complex systems and optimisation, I would be fairly confident in saying there is no other game currently out there better than Factorio.

Potentially the worst game on steam, please remove Christmas trees from the game, I do not like Christmas trees. The lights distracted me while I was in a 1v9 and cost me my win. Also the stacking problem is very big and there are too many weapons. Not sure why people play this over Battlepillars Gold Edition. Should probably also remove sliding from the game. Just play Phantom Forces on Roblox, it's roughly the same experience

I believe in the ability for this game to become popular and fun again and would love to see it happen, It's nice to see attempts made to rebuild something amazing even after a few hiccups. Also, Linux support <3. I used to be in love with this game in 2015-2016. Monetisation is hard, I hope the devs can make it work in a way that doesn't ruin the feel of the game.
Doesn't hurt to give it a try, it was amazing before, but it's still a decently fun game now.

Played long before release, before advanced mode, game used to feel like a fun passion project that was gradually working towards a finished product and improving over time, ever since they started releasing DLC content it feels like they lost sight of what this game was initially designed to be, they continue to paywall most new content behind gimmicky DLCs and design the game in such a way that development will soon be fragmented and inefficient. One of my all time favourite games, but unfortunately the direction they're taking the game is unsustainable, only seeking to add in short-sighted hype-focused updates rather than structural fixes and core improvements. Truly a loss, very sad, but I can't recommend this game any longer, continues to drift from the initial design, trying to do too many things and not catering to the most important and dedicated slice of the playerbase: i.e the people who actually make creations and contribute to the community. This game is headed for total collapse in the future I am sure, really sad to see.

Early Access Review
Stationeers is a complex game, it's not easy either, some content can be rough around the edges as it is currently in early access, but while complex and time consuming it is also an extremely rewarding game to dedicate time to, it's difficult to learn and get started with some of the more advanced mechanics, but it always feels like there is something new to learn about at the same time.

This game truly feels sandbox, due to the simplicity, but variety of individual components, built in assembly-like programming language and expansive set of logic items to work with, the game is extremely open to whatever projects you may want to undertake in it, so many things that would just get ignored in other games are implemented here, the problems you might face during your projects often stem from logical problems that could happen in the real world, this adds a great deal of immersion and problem solving to the game.

The developers have also continued to add new and interesting content throughout the early access phase and have also increased the performance and fixed many bugs in the game, I plan to play this for a long while and I'm happy to own a copy of it
