Early Access Review
Sons of the Forest is a stunningly good looking game that manages to run fairly well on my desktop. Despite the difficulty of the game and the many bugs I find myself liking the game. The survival aspects are challenging as is avoiding cannibals and mutants. I'm looking forward to seeing what the developers can do with this game, and see if they can fix some of the complaints that other players have had. That said this game is NOT for everyone.

There are certain aspects that make me intensely dislike the game and wish it had clearer warnings in the game description. There are certain things in this game that could certainly be triggering for some individuals.

-The cannibals are acting far more human in this game than in The Forest. They react with fear, pain, and dismay when they are attacked by the player, even after they have chosen to pick a fight first.
-I've had the experience of having several cannibals actually mourn the loss of their fellows in the middle of a confrontation. This is very disconcerting and somewhat distressing.
-Several models are just blatantly nude. This applies mostly to the cannibals and one of the mutant models. It's one thing to cover oneself in mud which is what the more animalistic cannibals seem to have done. Most of the more human cannibals wear clothing of one form or another, but there are a couple of female models who are just straight up topless.
-The clothing on Virginia's model because transparent when it gets wet. The reason this bothers me is that it ONLY happens in the area of her chest and groin, and ends up showing off things that don't need to be shown off. This is super dangerous for streamers of the game as that type of nudity could potentially end up causing a ban. I know there's a warning in the game description, but there is honestly no need for this to be included in the game.
-Do we REALLY need the mutant babies? Maybe I'm getting too old for gaming, but the fact that this enemy type is included and that to protect ourselves we have have to kill them is fairly distressing.

By far one of the most beautiful games I have ever played. Bethesda has extened the Elder Scrolls series far beyond it's humble beginings with this game. I have recently acquired the game for the PC, but have hours invested in the PS3 version. I am looking forward to playing many more hours on the PC version!

I would absolutely reccomend this game to anyone who is or ever has been a fan of the Elder Scrolls series!
