This game is taking my free time away like it's a free-loading scumbag!

What to say about Mechwarrior 5? Ever wanted to manage your own mercenary company in outer space? This is your game. Ever wanted to pilot giant metal behemoths into battle and stomp your way to victory? This is your game. Ever wanted to feel the uncertainty of a man-inside-machine military fight against enemies uncertain, then change up your strategy from long range shelling to guns blazing at the turn of a moment? This is your game. Ever thought to yourself "What I need to win this is bigger, louder, angrier weapon!" and then wished you could materialize your idea in a workshop that customizes your bigger, louder, angrier death robot? This is your game.

I've played the Mechwarrior franchise since Mechwarrior 2 was released and I obtained a copy. Mechwarrior 5 is definitely a step in the right direction, but with knowledge of Mechwarrior and Battletech in mind, you should know that it's not perfect. It lacks enough customization to really make a 'Mech feel like it's your own creation, and instead makes you adapt to what a particular mech chasis is built around doing. In that sense, the game will make you strategize where you have been meeting defeat in order to overcome, so that can be said to be intentional: there is no one 'Mech that can do it all (unless you use mods, and even then it depends on a number of factors). Double-edged sword, perhaps, on behalf of the creators and programmers of Mechwarrior 5.

The "world" of Mechwarrior 5 is more of a map of choices, presented in the form of the Inner Sphere, humanity's expansion into the Milky Way after around 10 centuries of exploration thanks to Jump technology and HPG communications. On said Inner Sphere, shown to you as a map of stars where you choose your travel destination, you'll find mercenary contracts that you may choose to accept. There are several mission types as well as difficulties, from straight base defense and warzone attrition, to establishing a landing zone (Beachhead) for planetary invasions as well as new mission types provided you purchase the expansions, such as the new infiltration missions. Mission requirements will necessarily reflect on which Battlemechs and 'Mech loadouts you'd do well to choose, pertaining to the objective or objectives of a contracted mission. This not only affects your personal 'Mech that you will pilot into battle, but also those of your "Lancemates", fellow Mechwarriors that will accompany into battle in a group of four 'Mechs maximum per mission. These lancemates are AI-controlled, but if you have friends that own and play Mechwarrior 5, they can enjoy a game session with you piloting your 'Mechs in place of AI-controlled lancemates duringh a mission, which is a favorite among other Co-Op features of this game.

Returning to my prior mention of mods: you SHOULD mod this game! No two-ways about it, this game's modding community is doing a superb job of improving upon surrounding game mechanics and even in some of the main game mechanics, resulting in a completely enhanced experience in playing Mechwarrior 5. Personally, I can't play without TTRulez AI for lancemates as well as the VonBiomes packs of mission scenery and play areas. I also enjoy the addition of Clan weaponry ("the Clans" being a race of exiles that return to invade the Inner Sphere) options that can enhance my designs here and there, but I will always prefer Inner Sphere weapons in high tier categories for most of my Mechs. As such, returning to a "vanilla" experience is now game-breaking for me, and I now thus dread any time the developers of Mechwarrior 5 release an update, because it breaks the mods I have installed in my system.

Mechwarrior 5 is a fine addition to any game library and it has returned Battletech to the front of the fray of stompy robot carnage options in PC gaming. I honestly regret not playing it when it came out due to life commitments keeping me busy, because now I feel like I have to make up the year-or-so I did not spend playing this game with 6-hour-long sessions just to feel personally satisfied. My body needs more sleep as a result.

Good game, so I'll give it a "soft" recommend. Doesn't make it to the top 50, but still good enough to make it to top 250 perhaps. Mechanics are improved compared to the first game, albeit the notorious absence of devastator moves (though you do get similar results with other powers). Not that the first games mechanics required much improvement, mind you; that game IS a top game when it comes to fun-factor and even replayability.

This game sort-of continues the story of Alex Mercer from the point of view of James Heller. That's fine, but I was kind of expecting Alex Mercer to fight in Hope, Idaho if a sequel was to be planned for Prototype. Not the case here, as we're back in post-devastation New York City in Prototype II. Why is Alex now trying to stir up some sh*t in New York city? Story will kind of justify that... somewhat poorly. Let's say, it's kind of a stretch.

These games need you to grow in power... that kind of goes side-by-side with the storyline. As James Heller, you'll need to do just that if you expect to overpower the game's more difficult foes and mutants. The Blackwatch virus is back, and James Heller doesn't like it. Play the game or watch a Let'sPlay if you want to know why.

I do have to mention this game's optimization: it's bad. Very bad. I recall having played it in two different Windows 7 PCs and both gave me some FPS drops after a while, and the respective PCs had an AMD and an Intel CPU, so I don't think those companies are at fault. Nowadays, playing it on Windows 10 will involve downloading sizable files that apply workarounds to compatibility conflicts, so bear that in mind if you plan on purchasing.

Overall, the gameplay is decent, the fights against the military and/or mutants can be fun, and the stealth factor is a nice addition. You'll customize your character to fit your preference, but by the end, you'll be really powerful, which is the point. If you like sandbox-style worlds where you go around either picking fights or avoiding them to advance the plot, this might be a decent game. If you are after a "zombie grinder", a New York city replica to destroy, or something that'll blow your mind away story-wise, look elsewhere. This game is not that. So as I opened my review: soft recommend. Won't blow your mind away if you played the first game, but it will challenge you in fun, somewhat innovative situations.

This is a nice way to accentuate the story of Far Cry 5. This short film depicts the events just before the beginning of the story of the game Far Cry 5. The main antagonists of Far Cry 5 are all presented in relatively accurate light. I would argue that the actors for John Seed and Faith Seed could have been better portrayed (i.e. John Seed constantly preaches about the power of "YES" and that was not featured), but that doesn't detract from the film's story too much. Joseph Seed is actually very well done, analogous to the portrayal of GTA V's Trevor by his real-life actor, as that's also the case here. That alone warrants a recommendation.

The story: A ragtag film crew of three, two girls and a guy, whose background we don't really need to know, arrives at Montana's Hope County to capture footage of the famed Eden's Gate religious group, a Christian gathering with alleged extremist tendencies. They are captured by Eden's Gate and find themselves fighting for their lives while trying to escape and show the world that Eden's Gate is really a savage people-nabbing cult.

As usual, per the prevailing narrative of today's SJW-yuppie crowd of the current year, whenever there's a fist or firefight, this film's main badass is a wahmen who shows those men around her what it is to be a true action hero, using gun and metal bat to dish out punishment to Eden's Gate fighters. It's not showcased too much, but if you like me have developed an eye for that kind of thing then you'll notice that it's there.

Overall a short yet entertaining watch. I enjoyed Far Cry 5's story quite a bit, and it's currently among my favorite games of the last year. This short film is a nice tidbit of fan favor for the Far Cry enthusiast.

A true survivor's dream come true: this zombie world simulator will have you enticed with its story and you will find yourself coming back if not for that, then for its innovative and creative gameplay.
Tons of fun!
Grab trusted friends and experience this.

Word of caution: stay away from Public matches, the jerks do roam around and ruin people's fun just for the heck of it. Other than that, great game.

Best videogame ever made. Ever. In the history of video games. Or even just games.
There is literally no argument against this game.
Buy it.
Play it.
Live it.
Re-live it.
Talk about it.
Then replay it until posterity.
