i've been playing dark souls since dark souls 1 and i have a few thousand hours spread across the first two games. i know how to "deal with invaders". i enjoy fighting and pvp. but i don't care if i invade and there's summons, and i don't care when i get invaded and i have summons or not.

Well I mean sure I invaded you but if do you want to really know how to deal with invaders, add them and beg them to leave, 90% of the time they will leave, I always do if they really beg for mercy, and sorry for getting cocky but I tend to do so when I gank spank, have a good day.
