tldr; Content is in the form of skins and giving EA money, it used to be different type of shooter with a longer TTK until they had to make it like COD, Footsteps still cannot be heard 6 years after release, still an insane amount of hackers of every degree, controllers are still dominant form of input due to absurd levels of aim assist (and no opt out of playing with them feature) the characters/legends in this game have been powercrept to ♥♥♥♥ and too easy to execute, there are no community servers and you will be banned for playing on a modified version like R5Reloaded that has them if they find out :^]

Apex I wish you were better.

This game was originally founded by devs who cared and tried to make good games (Titan Fall 2), who then left soon before/after release and it is property of EA.

The game was great, a bit rough at first and its a battle royal, but it was different. It used to be that no longer would you instantly die to some guy lying in wait with a sniper or shotgun, fights took time and due to that fact it always left you with a slither of a chance to win a fight, regardless of if they got the jump on you or not due to a longer time to kill. This gave the grounds that the better player usually won, and I prefer that kind of gameplay compared to CoD.

Unfortunately, it is owned by EA and the developers of Respawn are barely a shell of what they once were. Despite being released with little to no advertising the game evidently became a huge success. From this EA saw dollar signs and began to become greedier and greedier with their monetary practices that they introduced into Apex Legends. "Ultra rare" skins that are basically unobtainable through normal means, but luckily they would have limited time events, where you could buy these skins for the cheap cheap cost of around $200 USD, don't miss out!
Skins unfortunately became the majority of "content" for the game, with balance patches and new legends/weapons being dribbled out like an old man trying to pee.

There have been many issues with this game since launch 6 years ago in 2019, the two major ones being hacking and audio. Very briefly on audio, when it comes to footsteps in this game it is atrocious, if you're deaf it's not a disadvantage in this game, as you wont hear a team right running right behind you anyways, apparently this is due to something in the engine, but as I stated before. Respawn is a shell of it's former self and no longer has the talent it once had, and so it has been ignored since with occasional "we're working on it" when community outcries were at all time highs. Now for hacking.
This game is infested with every hack you could think of, from aimbots to spoofing to hackers straight up banning or kicking other players in the same match as them. It can be argued that this is because it is a F2P game and it is easy to create another account which is true to a degree, but it's more so they just don't care and it doesn't make money. Professional players games were compromised in a PRO MATCH FORCING THEM TO AIMBOT MIDMATCH, their solution to this was to ban the OS linux users... that definitely fixed the problem.

The push for controllers. Like all games that include crossplay, in any fps, overall a controller will always be an inferior form of input when it comes to FPS's, however this meant that the game was less accessable in EA's eyes and therefore less customers. So they juiced up aim assist. For reference, a value of 1 perfectly tracks a target with zero delay, the value controller players on PC get a value of .4 if they are on console they have a value of .6. Soon people realised the absurdity of how strong and easy controllers were to use, and became predominantly used by most of the player base despite the clunkiness controllers have. It became normal to be instantly killed in close quarters, or being "one clipped" simply due to how strong aim assist is. To make matters worse, there is no option to separate the types of input in competitive play, and in pro play it was normalised, meta even for teams to have at least one controller player. In my opinion, this completely destroys the competitive aspect to Apex Legends. Not only was there no option to opt out, but giving controllers such insane aim assist is like giving a paraplegic a lamborghini in a running race. Yeah he might struggle to hit the pedals at first, but when he does he's winning.

Lastly Legends. Legends used to be a slight flavour to the gunplay, unfortunately with power creep new legends became more and more absurd and older legends being reworked with ridiculous passives and abilities that are braindead easy to execute, meanwhile skill expressive legends were repeatedly nerfed making the game more akin to something like Overwatch or Deadlock where the strongest characters have large advantages.

I wish you were better.

Overall it's an alright game, I would recommend it if you play with a mate.

You can tell there were some issues during development just with how things were done, but that doesn't mean it's bad, it's just that its noticeable.

I'll start off with the dislikes.
I dislike how child like it is? It just feels fortnite-ie, from the character models and UI to how the story is told. It would be nice if games stopped treating the player like they're retarded and need everything spelled out/explained to them.

It does get repetitive, which is fine but I just didn't enjoy the core game play loops enough to care to continue playing.

The good
Combat is very fun, it's fluid, animations are good and satisfying. You can use whatever weapon you like with whatever class, obviously some work better than others but you still get that choice which is always a positive.
Bosses are pretty cool as well, some fun mechanics with the boss fights and some are actually challenging in a good way. Very rarely did I go "I died to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" and knew that it was my fault, and that I could overcome it.

Edit: forgot to mention, the music is underated.

Very fun game, especially if you have a mate to play with definitely recommend picking it up.

The music is absolutely banging and will make you feel like a god, it's done by Noisecream who also did the music for My Friend Pedro

If you enjoy movement in games this ones for you, as of so far, I don't think there's super insane high APM moves can you do, but man it just feels good once you start flowing.

It wont take you long to finish, took me 6 1/2 hours to complete but there's replayability with the general game. Just don't expect a lot more story after you finish the main story (from what I know).

The bad
It's not very challenging in my opinion, I didn't need to use the upgrade system at all to finish the main story, and the bosses aren't hard, wish there was just a little bit more to them but ohwelI.

Also unlock the grapple first with your currency, it's the best one :)

In short the DLC is good, the bosses besides the last one are weak imo
The only advice is I'd give is with bosses is CHANGE YOUR BUILD IF YOU'RE STRUGGLING, there's plenty of cheese builds using shields and spears to just tank bosses (if you're lazy) or insane weapons like the backhand blades. and don't forget to use as many buffs as possible, mostly black flames protection and the deflecting hard tear for your physic. Try without spirit ashes (if you're level 150) unless its the china dog or the guy ontop of boar (a lot of roll slop, typical from beast-like enemies) the bosses in this game have their own "rythm" and will take a while to understand, if you're struggling there's always guides on how to dodge. Some attacks aren't your normal just dodge roll, they're intended to be jumped over or sprinted away from and you'll have a "aaaaah" moment and say to yourself "so that's what I needed to do". Again, if you're getting beyond frustrated you can always choose a cheese build (I don't blame you for the two mentioned and the last boss) but mentioning the last boss, he is disgustingly hard in a bad way.

The great things about this DLC is that it is simply more Elden Ring, if you love the lore there are some shocker moments and ALOT of questions answered, which I loved finding out myself along with theorizing with mates. The zones are also absolutely beautiful and it just gives you that sense of wonder and excitement to explore, delving yourself into the world and there are plenty of moments where you stop to take it all in like you would on a hike. Fromsoft once again proving art direction is better than graphics. You're also rewarded for doing this with the new way to get stronger, which is finding Scadutree Blessings. Finding these Scadutree pieces increases the percentage of the damage you deal and take to enemies within the Shadow of The Erdtree realm (like you would upgrading a flask, you use them at the bonfire)

The bad parts of the DLC is the final boss. It has a lot of visual clutter and a lot of different types of attacks where you will just die even with good damage reduction. But it is parryable, that's how I ended up beating him but f#ck he's got a lot of health and is resistant to everything, and some weapons (slow weapons) are just not feasible as he attacks so frequently (I was originally strength faith with Malikeths blade but that did just not work well)

This is just a me issue that's nitpicking but it's easy to get lost and trying to figure your way to certain areas (one is area is just locked off if you don't find the invisible wall on the other end of the map) the verticality is super cool but super confusing. Again, a me issue, as I don't like to look up how to get to certain area's. I like the sense of accomplishment and don't want to be spoiled. Get a mate to clue you in if you're like me.

The other bad parts of this DLC is probably the burning men, some have cool ways for them to be defeated which you get clue'd in by finding notes around the world, but others you just have to flat out him then in the foot until they die and it takes a really really reeeeeeaaaaally long time and it's just ♥♥♥♥. I would say skip them, but they give you things for your physic (like the deflecting hard tear) which is important.

And lastly the classic, fighting the camera as well as the boss, I know people say to just unlock your camera but is it really hard to have the camera zoom out a little bit for bigger enemies with large attacks? Or have the camera slightly faze through surfaces so i'm not zoomed in on my characters nuts.

Overall not sure why this game has very positive reviews, this is a very heavy story driven game and the story is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
The pacing is god awful, characters will go against or completely change their personality to progress the plot, it's like they're mentally lost or I have been left out of the loop for several years as to why they would behave that way, it's just bizarre.

However, the combat is fun, specifically mowing down hoards. Killing people NPC's isn't as satisfying, as mostly all enemy NPC'S die to one shot to the head (playing on survival btw) unless they're something like a bear, tanky freak or armoured npc.

Crafting and gathering is kinda cool, eventually you're just always topped up on resources though so it's not really ever an issue. Only issue is the jarring cutscenes for gathering meat from animals or plants, so I end up not collecting it.

Visuals are great, especially if you play on survival as the hud is hidden, unless you use your survival sense or w.e it is. Makes for great cinematic shots especially when you're riding your bike, talking about the bike, very cool, feels good to manoeuvre even on K&M.

Firstly, I see a lot of comments saying this game is a cross between apex and tarkov. It is similar to tarkov as in you are put in a map with other players, you die you lose your loot and u can gather valuables. But it has nothing similar to apex, no characters to choose from with special abilities, the only similarity being apex and The Cycle is the stylized graphics. Personally I feel this is a downgrade from the different, previous version of the battle royal esc PvEvP. People who say the ttk is long are delusional and must think Rust ttk is long. The first biggest issue is the crafting, better gear such as armour, meds and bags are crafted from materials in the world. However, there is no marketplace so all of the materials you are needed to create said gear you must grind yourself. Second, most of the time you will outright lose against a player with a higher tier gun from leveling/questing with a faction. Getting aped constantly by players with blue guns or above is infuriating. My second biggest issue is the weather and colour palatte. Not seeing players in shadows or when the storm decides to roll in creating fog is sh*t.

Aragami is a very well made stealth game, it revolves around you, being a spirit summoned by a goddess who has tasked you with helping you escape her prison. The graphics are simple yet very stunning to look at, it some a nice challenge to it, yet it isn't too hard, and if it's too easy for you, there are objectives that you can attempt, like a no kill run. This game is well worth the $20, it will give you about 2-3 hours of fun. If you're a speed runner this is also a fairly good game to give a go.
