Early Access Review
Great game. Lots of fun. The game has a sort of feeling that I had when I watched the battle scenes in the Ender's Game movie.

It's an alright game. It's not as fun as EU4, in my honest opinion, but the ability to take matters into your own hands and assassinate leaders you don't like is one of the good things that this game can bring to light.

Game stability is another issue entirely, however, and seems a bit hit and miss. One patch will be perfectly good, next patch it crashes a few years into a vanilla game. Just my experience.

Fun game. Each location presents its own obstacles to overcome. Graphics are great on GTX 970. I haven't seen any issues.

Fun team-based steampunk game. Three specialist classes, but everyone can generally do everything if the need arises. You'll find between 20 and 100 people online regularly. Bring friends if you want a match.

It's fun as long as you can get it to work. Even disabling my firewall, the launcher almost never opens.

When I purchased Train Fever, it actually was a pretty neat little game. It had potential. There were bugs, but the graphics were good and the trains were enjoyable.

Today however, I realized how broken some of the parts of the game are. In late game, you get trucks that can carry as much as 18 cargo. This can be oil, coal, "goods" (completed product, doesn't matter what goes in it to make it), wood, or iron. The problem is that the cargo from the production buildings have to be loaded into depots for the trucks to pick them up. The small depot can hold 18 cargo for each of two lines, and the large depot can hold 16 for 5 lines. In a nutshell, your trucks usually leave unfilled or the depot overflows and production (and money) is wasted.

My second issue is train AI. Unless you take the time to measure out at what times your multi-track station has a train in it and stick waypoints and signals to signal to your train to go into specific lanes, you are hoping that they don't get stuck on the same track, one trying to leave and the other trying to enter.

My last issue is with the developers. It turns out that the next patch, to be released in early 2016, will be the last. It turns out a big portion of the patch is actually modded content from the community too. Turns out they were working on this new game in secret too because it'll be released around the same time as the patch! I guess that's the age we live in: it's more profitable to abandon what should be considered an early access game (beta game) and release a new one then it is to finish the game you have.

The game itself had potential, but because the developers are going to abandon it with so many unfinished pieces of the game to fix, I no longer can recommend it. I guess get it on sale if it's less then $6.00, but it isn't worth more then that. Hey, I guess at least the devs had the courtesy to tell us they were going to abandon development for this game and work on a new one.

As far as Bethesda games go (let's not compare it to Witcher 3 because that is made by a different company), this is an amazing addition to the Fallout franchise. When you load up the game and you are able to ask yourself "what am I going to do next?", that's a good sign.

I've logged many hours into this game, and many more will come. Mods and DLC can only stand to make an already fantastic game better.

Full of bugs and incomplete features, yet a game that I still find myself playing. The sad fact is the Napoleon DLC is more fun than the base game, and yet the developers never bothered to give it a campaign like the Viking DLC has.

Treat this game like you would a school assignment ("save early, save often") and you won't have much trouble when the game crashes every few in-game weeks.

While it's missing key features (night and day which was announced already, altering terrain while playing, elevated rail, and additional modding tools for things such as policies), this game is excellent. Simple to play, yet beautiful to watch your city develop.

Despite the fact that the publishers are incredibly greedy, it's an OK game.
