If this game was a free download it would still be too expensive. The menus and interfaces had the smooth refined nature of a 2002 flash game, combat animations either don't exist or look like they came from a flipbook, and the sprites are either free license crap or placeholders that aren't even cropped right. It would be worth something if the game brought something new to the table as far as mechanics or concepts, but it doesn't even do that.

Putting this on the store is one thing, but having the audacity to charge people for it in this state is arrogant. Go play Indies' Lies instead and save yourself the disappointment from this.

Classic Fromsoft game. Amazing game hamstrung by sheer incompetence porting it to PC. Only now there's anticheat to stop you from using mods that address all the bugs and poor controls/UI. Buy it for a console, it's not worth the hassle here.

While the concept of the game is interesting, it doesn't excuse the execution. If you're into indie for the sake of indie and want something to feel pretentious about for a week then this game is for you. Otherwise go play Bioshock for a better execution of a *plot twist*

First off, I wanna say that Magic is insanely fun once you can wrap your head around the basics. Play the tutorials, play the story mode, and play against an AI. The game holds your hand well enough for you to get into a groove without having any prior experience in card games. The story in game is a tad off from the actual game lore, but it's negligible and holds it's own. If you just want to find out what this whole Wizard's Squares thing is about, learn the basic rules of how to play, or use this to start your journey into Cardboard Crack addiction, this game is for you.

After being more or less forced to provide an answer to Hearthstone, Wizards of the Coast decided to put forth a PC version of their insanely fun and popular TCG that's free to play. Unfortunately, Wizards has once more skimped on something that wouldn't give them a lot of profit out of the gate, and there's no signs of them putting effort into supporting this.

Sadly, once you're done with the story and want to test your decks against another person, you're SOL. Games will disconnect, freeze, or downright exit entirely for seemingly no reason. The sad part, this isn't because of some recent patch, it's been like this since release when they assured us it would "get better" To add salt to the wound, should your get disconnected then buy a pack or complete a quest, the server won't register you as having done it, so you'll have to redo it and hope the servers hold steady. The first few times are inconvenient, the 20th and 30th times are downright rage enducing.

Pros:
-A free version of the most popular TCG around
-New player friendly with plenty of hand holding
-2-Headed-Giant game mode makes for fun co-op
-Plenty of in game toggle options to help with card ability triggers
-Deeper card pool and interactions than other PC card games
-Cards are very well balanced, a deck of just commons can compete with a deck of rares

Cons:
-Experienced or returning players will feel a little too coddled
-Getting coins for a pack takes a little longer than other card games
-Very inconsistent connectivity puts a damper on the experience
-A seemingly nonexistant developer/community relationship
-Missed opportunities on which game modes and cards appear in the game
-Packs are purchasable with real world cash, but nowhere near worth it
-Worse than a Call of Duty in terms of "rehash the same engine"

End of the day: While a newbie friendly version of a mechanicaly fun game, it's marred by poor build quality and a lack of interest from the creators to improve upon it's infastructure to deliver a quality product. If you want a quality product, just pay the $10 for MTG:Online.

A small scale empire builder where you have no direct control over your units. The closest you get are bounties you can set to have them attack enemies/buildings, defend buildings/caravans, explore an area, or stay away from something they are in no way ready to handle. As the king, you decide what gets built, what heroes get hired, things to research and upgrade, and are allowed to spend some of your cash on spells for more influence on the course of the game.

Unfortunately, just like the first game, this one suffers from the problem of needing to be lucky for the first few minutes and hope that the den of mini-dragons that can kill every hero in one attack doesn't decide to send a wave towards you before you've even built a single barrack or guard tower. But the times when you don't get imediately ♥♥♥♥♥♥ from the start are what make the game great. Do you invest in upgrading the rouges guild so that all your heroes have their weapons poisoned? Maybe build a guard tower next to the sewer entrance so that the ratmen that come from it don't ravage your marketplace? Or do you research better spells, equipment, and potions for your heroes to use? Coming to forkroads like that and then playing them out to see if you made the right choice are what gives the game so much character, if you can bear the 10 failed attempts beforehand where a boss teir dragon decided to attack your palace as soon as you loaded the level.

First take 2 parts Cyberpunk, 1 part Swords and Sorcery, and 1 part Conspiracy. Shake, and then pour into glass. Then stir in 1 part intricate storyline, 1 part RPG, and 1 part turn based strategy.

Serve in a "high replay value" glass and garnish with mods.
