This pack is sweet but the eyes do not actually glow on the helmet lenses which was one of the main reasons I bought this. Bit of a let down! Only reason I voted not recommend on this pack. Game is amazing!

If you liked DOW1 you will love DOW3. Giant bloody fights. Lot's of yelling and screaming. Complete mayhem in the 3v3 modes late game.

Suprisingly intense on micro. People that are saying this is a moba or a dumbed down RTS are just 100% wrong. Unit counters and positioning are everything. Every unit has an activated ability to be used at the CRUCIAL moment. The cover system makes sense (sorta like the buildings in DOW2 but more streamlined.)

Elites are fun as hell. They offer you ways to fill gaps in your standard unit roster depending how you want to play. You wont win the game with your elite alone but if you synergize your army properly you can pull off brutal combos that look and feel great.

The army doctrines add another level to essentially the same thing of filling gaps in your standard rosters abilities. Depending how you play you can tune your army to have small abilities that make it better for your style. They range from things like increased scouting and mobility activatable abilities on certain units to passive effects that trigger automatically when conditions are met. (Like orks vehicles going berserk and exploding.)

The campaign is cool. It's not DOW2 level but it's good. The characters are cool and the dialogue is hilarious. The whole story is true to 40k.

Visually every bullet looks different. It's easy to tell the plasma marines from the flamer marines because not only do the bullets stand out the guns are little suns pretty much. A massive improvement over DOW2 units are easily seen and identified across all races. SO MUCH BLOOD. Dead bodies stay and are only shredded up by bigger explosions. If your settings are high up what starts out as a sterile and pure landscape quickly turns into a gore pit.

Overall this is an incredibly solid foundation for a long lasting RTS. The gameplay is TIGHT. They will 100% be adding more races. This is DOW1 scale but bigger with more tuned gameplay. They took the principles of DOW2 army customization with unit and hero upgrades and streamlined them in a way that makes much more sense, especially in a multiplayer context. Beat the single player and have been fighting online in all game modes. I'm reading so many negative reviews and I just don't see what they are talking about. The game is great!
