Platforming can be kind of ass sometimes, and using a controller will give you better control over your ship. Those are my only complaints. Play this game immediately, I am not asking.

Early Access Review
About as jank as you'd expect an early access game to be, but it's oddly compelling to keep playing. As of writing, there is only one map and a set list of objectives. There are plans to add more maps and randomized objectives going forward, so it can feel a bit repetitive until you start trying to play on Hard or Nightmare. The game really shines at higher difficulties, even with guns and your friends the atmosphere can be very tense. There are definite issues that need to be ironed out, including bugs, additional content, and quality of life things, but this really is a diamond in the rough. Despite only paying $3 I've easily gotten around 20 hours of playtime out of it so far.

You also don't need to be a fan of The Thing, but I feel you'll appreciate the game more if you go and watch it. There are some neat nods to the movie here and there.

I've only played a moderate amount of the original game, but this felt like a pretty faithful remake. It was overall pretty fun, my only major complaint was an optional chess puzzle, in which you actually have to know how to play chess. Being a checkers fan, this is the second hardest puzzle I would ever have had to do if I didn't just look up a chessbot to handle the problem for me. There's also a sudden need to backtrack towards the end of the game if you didn't realize you were supposed to be jotting down numbers sequences that had been appearing, but really that's on me for not noticing the things in the first place.

Definitely worth it on sale if you're unsure about getting it, I feel like most fans of shooters will enjoy getting to run through Citadel Station even if you haven't played the original.

I could go on a long-winded essay about the game's many good points, primarily its writing and humor, or I could just sum it up by saying it's one of those games you wish you could forget ever having played just so you could play it for the first time again.

Containing the first three Phoenix Wright games, this trilogy bundle is a very good deal. You even get the DLC/Extra case for the first game! It's overall not a difficult game, though you might get stuck at certain parts. The main draw is the storytelling that goes on throughout the games.

Definitely worth a purchase at full price, let alone a sale. You'll get plenty of hours for what you pay and, considering you'll know exactly what to expect thanks to the series' fame, you'll almost certainly enjoy what you get.

Great way to practice getting mad at yourself for missing obvious details. The atmosphere is top notch and the game itself is a good length, not being too short while not overstaying its welcome. Definitely worth the price if you want to kill a few hours enjoyably.

Playing this game has left me physically crippled, my lungs collapsed, my hands shaking, my nerves racing. The dark rituals needed to summon a proper multiplayer lobby will leave your soul withered and drawn.

Would recommend for its deepest lore, advise using others souls to stave off madness when playing.

An effective killer nerfed into the ground by capitulating devs. Don't give them more money.

Original War is a story about how messing with time travel never ends well. The game's schtick is that all your soldiers are unique. You can't just 'train' new humans because ♥♥♥♥ sapiens hasn't actually evolved yet. Every soldier has unique stats that they can level up by performing their jobs and surviving to the end of each level. This isn't where the uniqueness ends either, as many soldiers have unique lines or events associated with them should they survive long enough in the campaign. Considering how low a budget this game was made on, this is quite impressive. But how does the gameplay hold up?

It's hard, to say the least. The gameplay is definitely solid, and if you're a fan of RTS games in general you'll probably love this game. Just don't go in expecting an easy time. The game only barely holds your hand in the American campaign, and even then that's only because you're slowly introduced to the tech tree. If you're not careful and get your men killed early on, you're going to have a very rough time of it. If you're fine with a bit of a challenge, I'd wholly recommend playing Original War (especially on sale) since the campaigns have enjoyable stories and even divergences! Your choices ACTUALLY matter in this game! Something that TellTale games fails to do decades after this game's release.

It's like Half-Life but now with 80's music and medium difficulty is an actual challenge. If you're looking to kill an hour or two with a fun mod, look no further. You'll beat the single player in no time if you're any good at FPS games but it's still worth a playthrough just to see the work the modders put into it.
