Started with TFC in 2001, TF2 in 2009. "Finishes" and comebacks, tryhard lobbies, leagues long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... Lot of time has passed, lot of changes (not the needed ones mostly). So, what do we got here for now?

Cons:
- Technical problems "after X years in development", I really don't know how can someone put "TF2" and "serious eSports" together.
- Updates ruining the essence of teamplay (♥♥♥♥ Meet Your Match!) or just adding cosmetics instead of balancing, fixing bugs and mechanics, such as hitreg, hitbox model, flame, backstabs (should be named "any-direction instakill"), etc. Really, some of the abusable exploits can be called "legit hacks". (And yes, I'm talking about Spy class too, an experienced in abusing completely broken mechanics player can make this class overpowered AF walking weapon of mass carnage on a server. "My favorite class is the Spy", right, Gabe? That's it. To be honest, it can be surprisingly useless against a skilled pre-made party, but not so many players can really care about teamwork with random people).
- No matchmaking balance, it's ordinary to see an one team's predominance and a steamroll with spawncamping in 9 of 10 matches. No chances for one side and no fun of competition for another. And no votescramble option. That sucks.
- Lack of weapon balance with "must have" and "fun only/wtf is this".
- Lots of hackers with probably the hugest assortment of hacks doing things you'll never see anywhere else in ALMOST EVERY match (and even some Leagues "pro" players testing hacks in casual).
- Tons of bots.
- Completely toxic community (and I'm not talking only about annoying "fok yo mum, retord kiddo" squeakers with trash mics) giving ZF to the teamwork, just trying to assert themselves. In games, yes. Brilliant.
- Some cosmetics are weird and tasteless ("Hat Simulator" should be the official nickname of this game).

Pros:
+ TF series is one of the major "evolutionary stages" in gaming, roots of many ideas you can find in a large amount of games today, a true living history!
+ Hilarious characters and comics lore, some folks enjoy it more than the game itself!
+ Huge list of weapons (really useful ones) to create a loadout that fits your playstyle.
+ Team-based gameplay allowing teammates to cooperate with each other, to create the synergy and reach the victory together with everyone taking part.
+ Different game modes, including community-created or just moderated community servers and maps for training your skills (Jump Academy for rocketjumps, as an example).
+ Lots of really nice players ready to show the opposite team the meaning of teamwork, teach you the basics or give you the help you need.
+ Some cosmetics are wonderful, created with taste and talent and really helping to express yourself or easily indicate others.

Well, finally. Yes, I still recommend YOU install this game, team up with your friends and have some fun, don't take it too close, just enjoy!
