I never played the original but this game is good enough that I plan to go back and finish that too. Probably the best TD game on steam along with the Orcs Must Die. At first it was very challenging, but the game is obviously much easier with Boneheart. If I had any compliant it's that the heroes aren't well balanced at all. Most are duds.

Finally "beat it", which means I was able to launch a spaceship. Totally worth it. Fanatastic game.

The vanilla game is garbage only fixed by the mods. Just seems that with the mod payment system, valve isn't interested in modders working together anymore, so really can't recommend this game.

As I close in on 3000 hours, I just want to call out the civfanatics forums and steam for helping me experience what is, in my opinion, nothing less than the finest game ever developed for the PC.
