This is a masterpiece!

I love this game and it is definitely one of the best experiences I have had in gaming.

The world is beautiful and lovingly crafted.
- The atmosphere is excellent.
- The characters are memorable and the dialogue is fantastic.
- The main quest is great and the side quests are often even better!

I have been so immersed in this world for around 200 hours of my first playthrough.
If you enjoy history, you like realistic RPGs and/or you want to play a deep game in a beautiful open world then I cannot recommend this game enough.
Simply wonderful.

As far as the feel of the game, the atmosphere, the robust language and the quests are concerned,
Gothic 2 is in no way inferior to its predecessor.
The controls became easy, the inventory and trading system significantly improved.
The story of Gothic 2 continues seamlessly at the end of Gothic 1.

In addition to the basic game, the Gold Edition also includes the "Night of the Raven" add-on.
This sets the requirements of most weapons significantly higher and changes the balancing greatly, but with the addon you also have access to stone tablets with the help of which you can improve your attributes,
which offsets the higher demands.
In addition, the add-on unlocks a new area, countless new quests, new weapons and armor and a new minor faction, which you can join in addition to your actual community.

What is also worth mentioning is that you meet numerous characters from the first part in addition to Xardas.
For this reason alone, the purchase is worthwhile for fans of the first part, but Gothic 2 is also highly recommended for newcomers without knowledge of the predecessor.
