Had this game waiting to be played in my library for so long. Glad to finally come to my sense to play it.
I'd say this is more of an interactive storytelling medium rather than your conventional game.
As many might already pointed out, the story by itself is mesmerizingly beautiful. Boosted with its graphic, fitting soundtracks and excellent narration, I'd say this is kind of game which everyone who enjoy good stories should experience at least once. The short gameplay is the more reason to spend just an evening to finish it. Again, glad that I picked this up. 10/10

I find myself firing up this game again and again after completion just to ride around with my cars. The vibe is just perfect, and despite its flaws, might just be one of the best NFS games in terms of aesthetics.

Gameplay: 7/10
Graphics: 9.5/10
Music & Sound: 9/10
Controls: 8/10 (kinda hard to figure out the right setups for each cars)
Story: 7/10
Vibe: 99/10
Side missions: meh

Btw, it needs more cars and customization as well :/

Such a well made game, such a well made idea. The scary parts are never about the jump scares, it was about how the atmosphere was created. Had to play some parts without earphones to get rid of the creepiness, especially because I played it alone in the dark.
Definitely one of the best horror games I've ever lay my hands on. 9/10

Ok, first of all, I won't touch anything related to the ending of INSIDE in this review. I will solely review it on each of its qualities, which is excellent, in my opinion.
If you already played Limbo, the puzzle/adventure game from the same developer, almost everything is similar. The side scroll aspect, the atmosphere, the enigma of its backstory, the puzzles (of course with different mechanics), you name it. Everything in Limbo is there. The difference is, instead of monotonous black and white (which is actually nice too), INSIDE plays further on the whole setting. The graphic is much nicer and colorful (not so much color tho, since it will spoil the dark and mysterious ambiance). Its also much more dynamic, with different places and things going on in the background. The puzzles are always engaging and creative. Seems hard at times, but only need few moments for you to actually figure it out. I got the game on sale at that time, but even with its full price, it is completely worth it.
?/10 for story, 8.5/10 for graphic, 8.5/10 for gameplay, 8/10 for sound.

Ok, this is the first time I'm writing a review on Steam. And I'm glad that I'm doing it for NieR:Automata.
First of all, the story of this game is great. It covers a deep topic and quite interesting backstory in a really far future. I won't spoil anything but get ready for some deep philosophical sh*t there.
Seeing from the game as a whole, I'd really recommend it to anyone, even for casuals (you can set the difficulty anytime). The gameplay in total may take around 30 hours, but the main story is actually not that long. In fact, the only minus on storywise is that it is too short (though they tried to expand it with collectible narratives on past events).
The combat is actually nice, but not so specified as you can practically mash the buttons most of the time. the combination between melee, ranged, and special pod abilities make it less monotonous than it looks like, and I really enjoyed how fluid it feels.
Also, you may already read it from other reviews, but the BGM and original soundtrack is EPIC! 10/10 on this.
Overall, I'd score this 9/10 for story, 8/10 for gameplay, 8.5/10 for graphic, and 10/10 for sound.
