Optimization is bad.
Story is bland.
Balance is ♥♥♥♥.
Server is trash.
Gacha is greedy.
Experience is mediocre.
Variety is none.
Rewards are empty.
But the butt is thicc, so I stayed.

Oh you'll never get a positive review from me.
An item with 20% drop rate, and I farmed 15 times no drop. That's 4 hours of my time wasted and the chance for that to happen is 0.03%, that's not 20% at all.

Early Access Review
It's actually pretty hard to build a world you desire. Player simply lack the option to customise kingdoms/civilisations. You cannot control whether npc ally with another kingdom, or simply tell them to stop expanding(there's an option to do so but they still build more houses)

I would change it to a positive review if it adds the following:

1. Create Town: Directly create a town that has 2 NPCs. Rather than waiting for NPCs to build a town where you want with RNG, players should be able to directly create a town.

2. Ally/Relationship Editing: Not just make the whole world friendly like we currently have, but the ability to direction ally or hostile one kingdom with another, even across the map, without affecting their relationship with any other kingdom. This would allow players to create enclaves in desired location, which will add a lot of fun.

3. Region limiter. The ability to select or circle an area, which make the affected kingdom unable to build outside the said area.

I see why ppl are calling it "a beautiful disaster".

I'm willing to ignore many of the game's downsides if the said game is incredibly good in one unique specific aspect, which in this game would be gunfu with katana.

However the transition between pistol shots and katana attacks is just non-existent. Huge delay/winddown between the two types of attacks. I couldn't even push through the first enemy encounter because it's simply not fun for me, I went in because I want the hack and slash experience shown on the store page but I can't find it. When I downloaded the game I wish it was a better Deadpool game, but sadly it is not. Maybe there's upgrades you can acquire later on to improve player move-set and make it less janky, I'm sorry I can't stand the gamplay before that.

To me, it's not worth playing at this state, I liked the intro scene, liked the lore and the setting, I want to have good memories when I think back on the time I spent on the game, but at this state, it won't be pretty.

First of all, I want to say I have never played GBF series before. I just jumped in because ppl around me who do play is excited about this.

One thing I appreciated is that it is a complete game, I'm glad it didn't take anything from the live-service crap many other studios are doing, and I kinda feel excited to learn that there will be more DLC characters in the future.

I really liked the combat too, it boil downs to 2 button combo but it's still fun especially with the help from your party members, where they're not a showpiece like most games and actually do stuff. Chain ult is very cool, it does gives me the "fantasy" party vibe and I loved it.

However, There are 3 different systems on just 1 single weapon, let along you have multiple weapons on a character, and each character all came with all sorts of other grinds like sigils and msp. Like I said I never played GBF before, I did not know it was like this. I'm OK with JRPGs with stats leveling and comfortable with farming some super rare materials, but this game is just too much. It is more grindy than MH, and MH was at my sweet spot in terms of needed grind.

The true deal-breaker for me is that you cannot unlock all playable characters unless you play online-mode (repetitive contents recycled from campaign), it's not like you can't play at all, but some stages like the one where you had to pick up coins, and since NPCs only follows you, you will not get the desired reward for playing through the whole mission.

I still like it tho, I won't recommend it to anyone like me who don't enjoy too much grind, but I might pick it back up during sales to finish the campaign because it is indeed fun to play.

It was once FOMO free.

It was once player friendly.

It was once hyped with tons of new contents and new event game modes.

Now they're all gone.

Prices go up, but recolor slops didn't stop.

You would think that with all the corners they've been cutting and all the price adjustments they can have more manpower and time to develop new map, but no. No new map for The Finals.

OK... So for ppl who bought the previous two games, apparently that doesn't matter anymore.

According to what I gathered from the other user reviews and posts and the dev posts in the Steam Community:

And just to clarify: If you own HITMAN 2 Gold/ The HITMAN 2 Expansion Pass on Steam, and never went through the process to get the H2 Expansion Access Pass for HITMAN 3, you will have to purchase it to gain access to that conent. However, if you bought / upgraded to the H2 Expansion Access Pass or bought any of the HITMAN 3 DLC's - you will not have to re-purchase it in WoA, and can buy what you're missing individually.

What you own before does not matter. Getting HITMAN3 bundle (Now called The World of Assassination) will give you all things from H3 except deluxe items, and remastered H1 + all H2 base contents.

Whether you bought the previous two games on Steam or not, you will not have access to H1 Deluxe & H2 DLC contents and you'll have to buy again. Carry-over process will not fix the issue, if you want DLC contents (The Bank, The Resort) you have to get the deluxe upgrade or the H2 Access DLC on the store page too.

Which is a form of removing paid contents from players, and I'm not happy about it. It is very funny that after the carry-over process is completed I received achievements for all the H2 DLC maps but I can't get access to it in WoA. Negative review it is.
